This blows....I got the parting gifts but have no opti S to play with. I'm slowly regretting my fight with sprint and now my optimus elite that has no root. Really think thekraven is awesome though, keeping his testers in the loop. Maybe after this calms down he'll release a final build to the masses. Thanks again thekraven for ALL ya do! DONATE TO THIS MAN lol

Does anyone know if the kraven will release the final build of cai publicly, its not really fair to punish the whole community for the actions of a few.

You misinterpreted my post as was expected.
1) I wasn't complaining, I was simply asking a question with my opinion thrown in, I meant no offense as I can clearly see you are offended.
2) I highly respect the kraven and everything he does, even though he doesn't know it I have been a tester for him since he initially released cm 7 for testing.
3) As a fellow developer I understand his frustration with others reposting his work without any permission from him or mentioning his name anywhere as the od.
4) On all the sites I've seen where cai has been deposited all of the download links go back to his original posting on ac so I see no problem with it.
5) under the gnu public license of which android is published anyone can modify source code then repost it its not necessary to give credit to the od but it is considered good etiquette.
6) This post was more intended for his "select testers" who are blatantly declaring that they are running alpha 14 and beta 1 and saying how great it is when the rest of us are stuck using buggy alpha 11.

Very, very true. The whole point of a alpha WIP thread is to get the community's input and help as testers of the various builds. It makes sense that Kraven took the private-then-public approach to get the most useful feedback possible from those who were most likely to give it. If you didn't act like this, then frankly, you didn't really deserve to get the private tests. After all, it was only a few days or so most of the time before it was released to the public. I'm still on a13 since I didn't get the apparent parting gifts, but I'm by no means complaining. I know that it's an alpha build still, and I don't expect it to be perfect. That said, I'm running a13 as a daily just because I can. I know that I can always go back to a more stable/complete cm7 build if I want to. Kraven's an awesome dev, and the most we (collectively) can do is hope that his talents will not go to waste.
That, and eagerly look forward to the possibility of the tdm building a quattrimus rom for opti-s, which actually is looking pretty good. Just don't push it!

Those of us who have gotten the updated did not know, I doubt thekraven knows the plan at this point. He improved it, and sent PMs to some to continue testing, and post results publicly if we wanted. This is the one open thread, so we are posting.
Eventually, it will all become clear, to everyone, we just have to be patient and see.
There are plenty of ROMS and apps that just stop development. I've bought quite a few from the Market/Play Store, so it happens.
Again, sorry for the knee jerk reaction. I'm old school, and the lack of personal integrity and ethics from many here is appalling to me, and the disrespect shown to thekraven boils my blood. /rant off

Unfortunately, AC user Cammykool posted Kraven's DL link without giving him credit or linking back to AC. He reposted here. What's worse is that I posted a big ole rant a while back, and he hasn't responded or edited his post. Android Forums completely blew off those of use who went there with complaints about the the fake donate link.
Cammy has been talked to a long time ago, currently theKraven has a locked thread. Nothing we can do. Just give him space, and stop talking about it.

I think this one has played itself out. It's time to put this behind us, and move on. There's a lot of other great developers to consider, and if he decides to come back then great.
