The LG G3 has arrived :-)

Well I am in a EIP with T-Mobile and my jump thing isn't available till 8 pay half of it off which is around March so tbh while I would love the phone I needed it to be a perfect screen for me to consider it. I love Amoled screens and love my note 3 and my new tab s but I felt like I would love the ois on the g3 which I loved on the nexus 5. If this phone came out late March I would of gotten it but I guess I'll wait till September and see if the note 4 rumors are true and if it has ois in its camera. If not might consider the g3 in October where paying part of the phone off so I can use jump will be reasonable :)

No screen is perfect there will always be someone finding something to say and hey it may be true it may not be, like the verge saying the Z2 was poor in daylight what utter bs as its good and I never have my phones at full brightness, and its better than the G3 I must admit.

But I am more than happy I now have the G3 which is great and the Z2 which I like a lot and is one hell of a smartphone in my opinion.

The Note 4 is Samsung's strongest line in terms of that is their product that seems to get the most attention to detail, so I suspect it will be outstanding.

I keep my brightness to around 65-70% and generally don't like lcd screens but I guess I'll check a store and see how much I like it... You know if Verizon AT&T or etc has them for show yet?

I'm in Scotland so not sure.

I love my tech and honestly don't mind answering any questions.

I really enjoy the Camera on my Z2 yes one of the best if not the best on market.

I will follow this post with a Z2 on superior auto and one on the G3 which has a very basic camera app.

Just to let you know, that while the LG camera is basic, the options aren't locked out. If you use an app like "a better camera" you can adjust iso and the other options. Confirmed by users at xda

Oh I wasn't complaining I like the simplified just point and shoot approach. The Z2 has a great camera app also, more features but nicely laid out.

Yes I have a few different apps installed :-)

Quite enjoying Knock Code which unlike the S5 and their security feature the fingerprint scanner. The knock code works all the time and if there is an error its down to the user and not the phone itself or bad implementation.

Yeppers, I like the point and shoot approach for a phone about 99% of the time.

Just seen a lot of people say the camera is hoprrible because it doesn't come with 1000 bells and whistles. Just letting people know that they are there, only an app away and not disabled or locked out by LG.

Some OEM's over complicate when its not really required, professional photographers use DSLR's lol

But your right there are options available for those that like to tinker with iso, contrast ect ect.

The point and shoot on the Z2 is great and I like the approach from Lg with the G3.

That's good news for me, thanks for the info.

OP can you tell me how the audio volume is for incoming phone calls and notifications? The volume on my current GS3 is inferior as I frequently miss incoming phone calls. Appreciate you taking the time to answer everyone's questions, we are all JEALOUS here in the states :)

Its seems fine I haven't missed a call or notification, but what is fine for me may not be for you.

No need to be Jealous as you Americans are being treated to the 3/32gb variant lol

So having spent a couple of days with the G3 I must say I am more than happy :-)

The Build is stunning great use of plastic, it really doesn't feel cheap. The design is impressive and those tiny bezels are incredible. How Lg have fitted a 5.5" quad HD screen into such a small form factor is mindblowing, so comfortable to use.

The Knock code just works and for me is a better idea than a scanner, but each to their own right?

Not spent much time with the Camera, have taken a few pics and I'm happy with the results.

Battery life I thought was average at best, however after a couple of drains to near zero, it has settled nicely.

The quad beat headphones are poor, but I am going to order some RHA's to cure that niggle.

Overall I really like the G3 and I'm sure that those who have placed their order will be as happy as I am.

Why thank you, must say most here at AC are great people, who like nothing more than a great discussion and a bit of heated debate is fine, just as long as no lines are crossed lol

No problem though I enjoy sharing info and my hands on experience.

So if you have any further questions I don't mind.

Have you tried the front facing selfie option where you hold your hand open then make a fist which starts a 5 second countdown and then takes the picture?

Mav.

Re: Why can't I get the Amazon app?

Oh hell no. Fragmentation already? I didn't get the phone yet, so hopefully it's working by US release. That's crazy. Amazon is currently one of my most used app, I'm a HUGE amazon services junkie.

How, glad you are enjoying. your new LG G3.
How is the temp. Does it get warm, or get hot when heavy browsing?
Two things on my S4 temperature and not so good on camera low light with flash on auto. takes great pictures out door, almost 100% perfect phone.

Hey well not really when web browsing, watching videos it can get warm but never hot. Strange as I have been watching quite a lot of YouTube vids and temperature has been fine today.
