The LG G3 has arrived :-)

Re: Why can't I get the Amazon app?

Google "Amazon app store" which will take you to the site to download it and there you go.
Hope that helps.

Re: Why can't I get the Amazon app?

Your phone has reviewed the app and found it to be revolting lol

Sent from my HTCONE using AC Forums mobile app

Well half way right the app isn't compatible with my device hmm .

Thank you for your comments on the display. I'm looking forward to a comparison with the Z2's camera, which is known to be of very high quality and which I know you yourself rate highly, from your posts elsewhere. One reviewer has said that the G3's extra pixels give photos viewed on its display a 3D quality.
But you're being swamped with questions...enjoy your phone rather!

I love my tech and honestly don't mind answering any questions.

I really enjoy the Camera on my Z2 yes one of the best if not the best on market.

I will follow this post with a Z2 on superior auto and one on the G3 which has a very basic camera app.

The top one is the Z2 and the bottom is the G3.

Many thanks for your time and trouble. I don't know why I'm asking really...I shall almost certainly be buying a G3 of my own next week, and I think would still do so even if your and others' comments were negative. It's that display. It's irresistible....even if it doesn't make much practical difference.

The G3 is so far great my only gripe and its because the Z2 has amazing built in sound enhancements is well the quality through supplied quadbeat they would get a 5/10 for me and the Z2 is a solid 9/10.

But like any phone they have their imperfections but overall I am more than happy with the G3 despite it being the 2/16 variant, so far no issues to report.

You will really enjoy the G3 when you make your purchase next week.

A thought has occurred to me. I sometimes transfer Lumia 1020 photos to my Nexus 5 via OneDrive....they look noticeably sharper on the latter's display. A similar experiment, transferring a Z2 photo to the G3 via a suitable app, might reveal whether the photo looked better for being displayed on QuadHD.
I'm not suggesting you should actually do it, but someone might consider it worth doing.

Haha indeed, I can't pinpoint but the quad HD screen is quite something and the sample video shows its amazing clarity, perhaps as I mentioned as of today it can be seen as a marketing stunt as there is not the content in quad hd, however I love the screen and if I'm experiencing a placebo effect then I will enjoy it lol

I'm not worried about any disappointing sound myself...visuals are what's important for me.
Yes, mine will be the 2/16 as well...standard fare in UK.
I hope that aldo82's signal problems referred to in another thread...Signal Strength?...don't turn out to be a common weakness of the phone.
Next week here I come.

If that's the Spiderman video, I saw it on the store demo phone...but being bolted to the stand it was wrong orientation and therefore too small to see properly.

No it was just a landscape video but still impressive.

Oh I'm not bothered either I still have my Z2 which I wouldn't part with and will alternate between the two.

But as of now I'm enjoying the G3, its one great smartphone.

And Signal for me is the same as on the Z2 so no disappointment there.

I have been drooling over the g3 since release. I just recently switched from a lifetime of iPhones to a galaxy s5. I couldn't be happier. Was so fed up with being constricted by Apple. But now my new predicament is to stick with the s5 or make the switch to the g3. Anyone care to weigh in?

Well if your happy with the S5 then stay put, but if you would like a design that is fantastic, screen that is superb, useful features then make the switch and you will be happy you made the decision to :-)

What do you mean, the S5 or the G3? Why not both? I have a Lumia 1020 and a Nexus 5 and am about to acquire a G3. I wear one of those sleeveless jackets with many pockets, and there's easily room for the G3. True, I have long since been a stranger to normal rational human behaviour, but I'm happy, don't you see...happy! You too can be like me!
But to be serious, the S5 is a mighty good phone.

Again you won't regret it, what is not to like? The screen is superb, yes I get that it may be hard to tell the difference between full HD and quad HD but there is a difference, just not yet fully utilised. It has a removable battery and a micro SD card slot.

Knock code and I'm still exploring, I don't like to rush everything in lol

Reviews have said otherwise on terms of the Screen ... Plus one said it gave a yellow hue or something.

I like Technobuffalo reviews and that made me reconsider getting the G3 to replace my Note 3

I don't see it lol I tend to take in many reviews and well even then if I want it enough I'll buy it, and tend not to live in regrets not that I ever have and I don't this time either :-)

Well I am in a EIP with T-Mobile and my jump thing isn't available till 8 pay half of it off which is around March so tbh while I would love the phone I needed it to be a perfect screen for me to consider it. I love Amoled screens and love my note 3 and my new tab s but I felt like I would love the ois on the g3 which I loved on the nexus 5. If this phone came out late March I would of gotten it but I guess I'll wait till September and see if the note 4 rumors are true and if it has ois in its camera. If not might consider the g3 in October where paying part of the phone off so I can use jump will be reasonable :)
