The LG G3 has arrived :-)

They are both different phones and I rate the G3 highly. Just my personal preference is the features on the Z2.

The G3 which I'm still using and liking very much, while my Z2 is lying around although I will be reverting back, its great to alternate.

You won't be disappointed with the G3, but if you can have both then like me you will be extremely content :-)

Thanks for the impressions. I have read a lot of your posts on the Z2 forum. I checked a new D6503 on Amazon and it is 624 versus the 628 (with taxes) I paid for the G3!...

Looking forward to checking out the G3!

Re: Lg mini review

Will do. I thought about just picking one up Friday but I usually preorder or order online. U can then get it delivered at home and go to my home office and have a great unboxing experience! Lol!

What do you do for warranty /insurance? My g2 weaned me from ios, but $100 for two year VIP care and warranty is tough to beat. My $12 monthly to geek squad feels wasted.

Bought Moto care for my Moto X which was 85 for 2 years, a pretty good deal! I do not insure my Nexus 5 but have used square trade for several high dollar (over $600) off contract devices. You can always cancel it if you sell the device and they give you a prorated refund. Have not had a claim (knock wood) but their reviews are pretty good. I think they were usually around 105 and do not include theft of loss. I agree that apple has great coverage for their stuff.

Well only $4 in it and the G3 has one great design, yes its plastic, however it doesn't feel cheap like Samsung's do.

You will really enjoy the unboxing and will be very pleasantly surprised.

Rooting LG G3 is easy.

If you are looking to root your new G3 then look no further than towelroot, it is as easy as downloading the apk and hitting the make it rain and within seconds you have root.

Don't use a case the LG G3 has a replaceable back.

I like Marques Brownlee don't like cases and share his view in that you buy a phone for many reasons, the design being one that is near the top of that list.

Cases for me ruin the look and design and the feel of the device.

Yeah they offer that protection for those accidents that do happen granted, but I am of one that I'll take that risk.

As for general scratches then there are skins or replaceable back covers.

Re: Don't use a case it has a replaceable back.

The main use of my phone is as a phone, and design does not matter as having my phone in working condition.

Re: Don't use a case it has a replaceable back.

Well design is important to me, if it looks like poor construction and the design is lacking then I will avoid.

Yes its a phone but if its one ugly brute then I'm not going to spend a high price on it.

And there for I'm not going to cover up the efforts of the OEM and my liking of the design with a case.

I'll take the risk :-p

Re: Don't use a case it has a replaceable back.

Weird that you made a thread with no question or informative statement, but I have to agree. I have NEVER put a phone in a case without a SERIOUS reason. I used an otterbox for BMX for a short while and that was it, only for BMX. After I got off the bike the phone came out of the case. I can't imagine hiding a phone with a great design in an ugly case. Go nude or go home, especially if you're a phone!

My statement is clear and precise in that like Marques Brownlee I don't perceive a case to offer any great benefit.

I had one of my Nexus 5's in a case and dropped it face down, even with a lip the screen cracked.

Its one that I don't see the point of, some buy a case & insure their phone, must have money to burn.

Yeah I do have a wee gripe as they don't look good.

And another is will I go for white, black, purple or orange.

Well if your going to fire a case on does it really matter?

Part in rant and must apologise I never took my prozak this morning lol

Re: Don't use a case it has a replaceable back.

The bumper case saved my Nexus 4 from many drops, but that's because the Nexus 4 was a delicate flower and it needed a case. I've run my Nexus 5 with and without a case and prefer it in a case because I don't like how the naked phone feels in my pocket, though the Nexus 5 design feels sturdy enough and it's grippy enough that you shouldn't need a case

The G3 is big enough that I'm not going to want a case just to keep it comfortable to use in hand, though it looks like LG put a lot of thought into the comfort of its cases so I'll probably get one of those (the leather backed one sounds good). I think all or most of LG's cases replace the stock back cover anyway.

Re: Don't use a case it has a replaceable back.

While I can certainly understand appreciating the beauty of a design I've unexpectedly dropped my devices enough to know its worth it to put a case on it. I generally go with something low profile like a TPU bumper case because I don't want something hideous like a giant otterbox.

Re: Don't use a case it has a replaceable back.

Nope, putting a case on (in fact already have the case, just waiting for the phone)...but thanks.

Re: Don't use a case it has a replaceable back.

I'll buy a Mophie case if it becomes available. Until then, it will remain naked.

Re: Don't use a case it has a replaceable back.

Well I want the circle case especially at half off.But read post that I guess it may not wireless charge with a nokia Qi charger?Guess i know friday.
I am new to Qi and PMA didnt know they are diferent?

Re: Don't use a case it has a replaceable back.

I normally don't do cases but in order to get wireless charging I may have to.

Re: Don't use a case it has a replaceable back.

After two family members getting kicked off of insurance I make cases mandatory. 500 dollars in deductible payments could of been avoided in 50 dollars worth of cases.
