Re: ooops I did it again lol

Back in action was even quicker this time to reflash & reroot around 45mins Job Done!!!

The longest part was setting up all the tweaks again and installing apps.

But I must admit I am enjoying using my Z2 :-)

7up ROM/Mod for LG G3

Well decided to give this one a try and it is more of a Mod than an Actual Rom. Although its noted as such.

Only just flashed will update later :-)

Re: 7up ROM/Mod for LG G3

Well just some perspective the Rom/mod is around 350mb.

So what does it include...

1)Walkman ported from the Xperia Range

2)Battery Mod

3)Plug & Pop

4)Eco Mode (optimises CPU)

5)Weather Animations

So these are a few and so far the ROM/Mod is smooth , one major issue, the video capture in stock Camera doesn't work, but it does capture pictures. I like the added ability that if you click a link in say fb or Xda it will open up a duel window with your default browser.

Hoping the pending release of version 1.7 will fix the video capture.

Oh and a few more added swipe effects that are quite nice.

Updated to version 1.7 and really liking this ROM/Mod, battery life seems better (will test further).

Camera worked like it did before but when switched to video it closed with the error "unfortunately camera has stopped working".

This was yes was the only thing not working, it was irritating me, so installed a different camera mod (Xml file) and now report all is functional.

Re: 7up ROM/Mod for LG G3

For those of you that are able to give this ROM/Mod a go, I highly recommend it.

Will be interesting when the bootloader gets unlocked :-)

Haha yeh the mad bunch that have far to much time on our hands lol

Mind you the devs have got geek a lot worse...all we have to do is download and either flash or install an apk. They have to write code and stuffs.

But you should try it is so much fun when you tap into your inner geek :-P

Re: Root Tweaks Links

Duncan, can I ask what icon pack and folder view you're using in the last home screen pic..I like them a lot. I also like how the navigation keys are the same style. Looks good. Are you using a ROM there or just Tweakbox and icon pack?

No worries here is a list of what I'm using..

1)Krom icon pack (available in the play store)

2)Apex launcher with fan effect for the folders.

3)I'm Using 7 ROM/Mod available over at XDA (link above, I think lol).

4)Navigation keys (link above).

Re: Root Tweaks Links

Thanks mate. Don't think I'm ready for roms just yet on my G3, think I'm gonna stick to Tweakbox, lol. I did install Unicon which I thought would allow me to install some icon packs without a 3rd party launcher but it doesn't work that well. I've used icon packs with Nova launcher before and they work well, yet using the same pack with Unicon and stock launcher it doesn't seem to change all the icons it should.

I still have Nova launcher but stopped using it as I've been enjoying stock on the G3 (even more so with Tweakbox) so I may dust it off and see how Krom looks with different folder options.

I take it Tweakbox works OK with Apex launcher then?

Also, I found these wallpapers earlier while looking around XDA, they're pretty good. You may already have them. Scroll down to post #3 in the thread.

Thanks and yes I have noticed those wallpapers. 7 ROM is more of a mod than a full fat Rom as it has to run from fastboot. Its low risk and works just fine (but it may not be available for your variant (software version 10h & 10k) and think its for the D855 but you will have to read the thread.

It has some nice mods such as plug & pop and some nicely done swipe effects.

Apex to keep the Knock off feature you'll have to like Nova grab Screen off and then change the double tap from Apex or Nova's settings (under gesture control).

But changing the Navigation keys is just installing an Apk and then enabling them through settings.

Re: Root Tweaks Links

I'll have to have a read up on how to go about getting the 7 ROM on my g3 (UK V10h). I have very little experience with all this, lol.

I'm going to have a play around with Apex and Nova and see what occurs😀.

I'm sort of ok with rooting and G3 tweakbox and installing the simple apk mods and tend to stick to the basics but you're pretty clued up on all this and seem to get a lot of joy out of doing it. Ever thought about making a 'How to' type thread on rooting, modding and all the rest of it for the G3?

Its really easy and you don't have to do a wipe so keeping all apps & setup.

1)Download 7rom 1.7 from the XDA thread

2)Download the Recovery in the same thread (First page).

3)Install Recovery when in the recovery app, reboot into recovery.

4)Install from SD card find 7rom and hit the power to confirm.

There you go you will be running 7 ROM/Mod.
