Hopefully your issue was a fluke and not something that's going to require another recall.

If it isnt dangerous or widespread I doubt a recall would be warranted. The recall was because of the possibility of damage to people and property.

Exactly why I said hopefully it's just a fluke.

it's disappointing because of what happened last year As a consumer I expect a product that's like this to be hastle free. The fact that they admitted it to me is even worse I'm glad they did but is still very very disappointing. Even now right now as I use it I can see the light protruding on the left side and the side. The more I look at it the more noticeable it is lol. I might just #Note8EdgesLeakage

...and pointed it out so the rest of us will keep an eye out for it! Thank you Oscar!

As a consumer I understand that stuff happens. Its not like they deliberately sent you a defective phone. It was probably fine in final testing, but sometimes things can happen in packaging or shipping that can cause a problem to occur or show up that was not seen at the factory. That is why they have warranties on things like this in the first place.

We all want a hassle free experience, but sometimes the real world gets in the way. I hope you get your replacement soon.

Yeah it's no big deal as long as I get another one which is not bad because now 2 chargers into headphones. And since it's gonna be a different serial number for the phone I'm pretty sure I'll be able to do the freebies again

I think the freebies require a valid sales reciept too. Is this replacement coming from Samsung direct, or thru a fulfillment program like Asurion?

No this through Sprint Samsung is aware they have this problem. Sprint is sending me a brand new note 8 so basically I will be able to do the Samsung freebie again. I did it last year when I returned my note 7. I ended u p with two 256gb cards

Hi! So I noticed some light leakage in the left side of my note. None on the right top or bottom though sucks I didn't noticed it before. But it's definitely noticeable at night time. Returning mine tomorrow:/

Good mine is also being returned. I love the note 8 this camera is amazing. I'm just not going to settle for a device that has this leakage in light. Especially since this is supposed to be waterproof

"A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one."
