The Note 9 Reviews are out and most look very promising

Re: Flossy has the Note 9 already

my dad still uses a flip phone. when his phone breaks I just pay the $25 deductible and get him a new phone. one year they gave him a touch screen phone as a replacement, he had the phone one .I had to call asurion to get his flip back.

Lmao. That's funny. My neighbor down the street said "hey let me play with that big *** note8. I can learn that real quick and show you a thing or 2" I died lmao cause he couldn't even find out how to swipe the screen to unlock it. He said " forget that piece of junk. I'll stay with my flip phone" I said "it's only a piece of junk cause you can't figure it out. Gotta play with it or ask questions." 😂🤣

Re: The TRUTH About the Galaxy Note 9: YouTubers REACT!

The only bad reviews of Samsung products seem to be from Apple fans...LOL

I am pretty sure if any of these famous you tubers said something negative, they would not get invited to the S10 release party....

Re: The TRUTH About the Galaxy Note 9: YouTubers REACT!

He sure does. He said he stopped using the N8 cuz it lags. Mine doesn't lag, but my battery has noticeably declined. I used to be at 50 or so at bedtime. Now I'm at 30. It's cool because I have charges everywhere, but its definitely draining more quickly. That N9 should hold me for 2 days though.
The battery drain issue isn't usually the phone, it's the apps in your phone.
Limit your phones apps background activity, ie; Make sure they are not running in the background when you're phone is asleep.
It's called battery management folks. Android 8 does a good job of it on its own but the apps you add after you get the phone get permissions to run in the background when you install them. Over time they become issues to battery management. It's your job as end user to manage those apps. Android PIE is to new for me to tell how well it manages battery yet..
FB is but one example, the full app run's in the back ground and uses battery. Limit it's activity, do that with all your apps and your battery usage may get better, keeping in mind that if your battery is draining in a few hours, 2 or 3, your phone may be defective or your usage of it is out of control...
I keep a close eye on apps in my phone and what they do or do not do it the background, 8 months later my battery is good for 16 to 20 hours usage easy peezy, if I limit usage a little over 20 becomes possible. When I used LG phones with replaceable batteries usage wasn't an issue, I would just pop in a new battery when the one in it got low, no so with newer phones, battery management becomes necessary.
At least that's how things have worked in the past!
As always Safety First, if your phone seems to be getting hot for no reason ie when not running high demand games consider getting it to a pro that knows what they are doing..
Lag was the main reason I did not get the Note 8, once or came out I read reports it was no better than any other Samsung phone in that after you started adding apps the phone started to lag, hope that's wrong for those who bought one and is the reason I went the P2XL route, btw, I love this phone, best I've ever used and my wife uses an iPhone 8 and I'm her tech support. I still don't care for Apple, thats probably not ever going to change so place potential bias where you will, I may be guilty of it!!

MrMobile just put his out on YouTube.

Thanks. He likes it too. :)

I've also seen a few of the "Camera comparison" videos on YouTube, and they look decent too, about as expected IMO.

The reviews are glowing though everywhere, nice.

Was it pulled down? Not showing up in my feed.

Im interested in how well the camera will perform. Coming from a Pixel 2 XL, I would like something comparable.

Are these reviews coming off Note 9 review units and not full retail versions.

Many of the YouTube reviews I've seen are review units.

What's the difference? I figure Sammy would put out fully functional units so that they could get the full experience which in turn could get good reviews. Not being sarcastic. just trying to gain some knowledge for myself.

From my understanding the review units are running different software.

It's like the working demo models in my local Samsung Experience Store. When I look at the about phone section in them they show as running the Samsung demo software.

Flossy Carter asks in his recent YouTube video if people want a review using the review u it Samsung gave out at the Unpacked event or wait u til he gets a retail unit.

Aah yes, I saw that video. Thanks for the info.

Very glowing reviews. Looks like Samsung have a real winner here.

I'm tempted to pick one up myself, but I'm waiting for the Pixel 3/3 XL reveal. Though I'm certain it won't have hardware as good as the Note 9.

Same, Note 9 seems to be ok overall, tempting a bit, but i'll wait for the M20 Pro and XL3.

Every review I have seen have been very comparable to the the S9+, with a little added benefit from the new AI scene mode. In low light, there is no real comparison, except for the Huawei P20 Pro.
Samsung really needs to bump up their sensor size if they want to get to the top of the heap.
