The Official Battery Life Thread

My last update for the day.
This is 3g only with extended battery installed:
pulled the phone off the charger yesterday at 6:30am and am still going trying to kill it with YouTube videos so I can put it back on to charge

I have 10% left
1 day 14h 25min
Cell standby 36%
Phone Idle 30%
WiFi 20%
Display 08%
Android os 03%
Voice 02%

I know this isn't 4g but I'm amzed with the Bionic so far compared to my droid which wouldn't have lasted 12 hours on 3G with minimal use and display settings plus GPS disabled.

I will be at work tomorrow (Sunday) and give it the 4g test.

Got it this morning with the extended battery (I don't ever mess with the og battery if i can help it) charged it fully and after 6.5 hours I am at 50%. I did redownload a bunch of stuff and have been on it a lot but the first 20% drop was in 32 mins. I will give it a few charges to see what I end up with.

No idea how you guys are getting so much battery life out of this phone. After almost 10 hours since full charge, I'm already down to 30% with little to no usage on 4g and wifi. Phone was literally idle in my pocket most of the day. Cell standby 44% and phone idle 35%. Love the speediness, can get past the screen's shortcomings, but probably will return it because of this battery.

So far right now, I took my bionic off the charger from overnight at 8am. During the day I had it off for about 3 hours, during that time it was on 3G. Later it was set on Wifi for the rest of the time. Along with Angry birds up and playing for a good hour. As I'm writing this, I have %30 battery left and its been about 11 hours and 36 minutes of up time.

So in basic usage, I say I used it under moderate usage.

HOLY $&%^*$*#*(&@#%()*$&. That is DAMN long lol. 1 whole day and 14 hours on battery...on 3G? I'm guessing you weren't using it that much but people are complaining about 12 hours idling in their pocket...

I have the extended battery in mine and its at 40% after 15hrs, of what I would consider medium to heavy usage, I text on it all day long, and browsed some web pages here and there and a couple videos, along with it being connected to 4G all day except for maybe a few times of it dropping down to 3G for a few minutes. I have everything set to autosync, weather widget updating every 15mins, and auto brightness. Im sure it will get better as I have only charged the battery to full once, so a few more charge cycles and it should improve a bit more. Im overall pretty impressed, the extended battery is the way to go, doesnt really make the phone much bigger at all and its not hideous either.

I charged the extended battery and popped it in, I like the feel of the phone better. I guess that I like something to hold on to.

Mines been off the charger since 1 pm, was used solidly for an hour and receiving texts and data pushes all day, and it's at 50%. The battery life is unreal. It's better than my X2!

I didn't do a lot of calling, but I used it moderate to heavy on day 1, then light to moderate on day 2 plus with 2 hours straight of youtube videos to get the last 30% down to 10%.
Its more use than my Og Droid would have had and it would have been dead in 9 hrs at work and 12hrs at home at best.
Honestly, today will be the real test for me. I'm heading into work soon where I'll have 4G and it's a building that gave my Og Droid fits with dead zones for calling and switched from 1x to 3G data a lot.
I'm sure I won't have the stellar results of the weekend but I know it will be a vast improvement.

9hrs 39mins unplugged cell standby 50%, phone idle 49%, battery at 90%. can anyone help me get the cell standby lower.

Hi all. I've been reading the forum for a few Weeks but this is my first post. How are you guys getting such good battery life? I get 5 hours best. I'm on it constantly but it looks like most of you are too and getting a little better. Ive got background data off and wifi, gps, and Bluetooth all off. Only widgdt is retro clock screen is at 30% or so brightness.

Turn off sync and you will see amazing battery life as well. It will make your smartphone a dumbphone but hey at least you can come brag about how great your battery is.

from the graph, it looks like he unplugged it before sleeping (the screen was off the majority of the time), and then was on wifi instead of 4G when he woke up (maybe he has bad signal at home or work or wherever he was). Also, he probably had the phone set to nighttime saver which stops data syncing at night after 15 minutes or so.

On my latest charge, i'm at about 55% after 13 hrs, but again much of that was while i was sleeping. i'll see when it finally dies today. if it can make it to 9pm (24 hrs), i'd be happy.

Battery life isn't very good for me on wifi.
Phone has been off charger for 3 hrs and 50 mins.
Screen on 2 hrs and 15 minutes.
Played robot defense for 1 hr 10 mins.
Phone is already down to 50%
No talk time, no social links, no volume on game...
Not impressed.
