Sprint left me a message this morning, but unfortunately I'm at the firehouse till tomorrow morning 0700. Going to try and talk my wife into picking it up today. My HTC Hero has been circling the drain for weeks. Indianapolis

Just got "the call" from Sprint. He says my phones (my son and I are getting them) are in but he can't sell them to me until Sunday. The long wait is almost over. YAAAAAAAAA!!
It probably shipped with 2.3.3 because it immediately asked me to update, and now it is on 2.3.4. The update took just a couple of minutes. It was really fast.
OK, then by his logic, the EVO 3D will be 3-4 months old by the time you can buy it, since he seems to go by the date of the announcement rather than release.

Try the store on Fishinger at Mill Run, I had a pre-order there and got a call today, said they got the green light to sell them today! Just picked mine up
I just listened to a tutorial on wimax. It's pretty interesting. I look forward to Sprint rolling that out in my town. It would solve a lot of problems....
they are also in direct ship/ VAD, so if a store doesnt have them you can have them shipped, obviously you would get it after the release date, but at least you know you have one coming and not just waiting for a phone call.
After calling six stores in the central-Ohio area the last was more than happy to sell it to me! Bye bye hero! Hello awesomness!
Someone on first page mentioned they picked up the NS4G for $549 off contract. Can anyone else confirm that this is the off contract price, whether at Sprint or BB?
I've called the Best Buy and the 2 Sprint stores in my area and they all say not until the 8th. Best Buy had plenty in stock they said and neither of the Sprint stores had anyone on their waiting list. I cancelled my online order and will just plan on picking it up in store on the 8th. Unless someone knows of a store in the Hannibal, MO / Quincy, IL area that is selling them early.
I just got back from my local Sprint store and am kind of annoyed that they wouldn't sell me the phone and they pretended not to have them yet (indicating that they're only receiving them on Sunday), considering that there are no deliveries on Sunday I know they got them today. Anyways, they tried to sell me a pre-order but I told them I'd rather wait.
