The Officially Official Verizon Rep "Source" Thread

The Galaxy Nexus launch date is still Dec 15th as of this morning, according to our sources. Let's hope it's the final one this time...

i'd be okay if it were january 15th if they'd simply tell us. the silence is killing me more than the delay.

Re: 23rd? Really?

Yeah, I have no doubt that Verizon probably has enough accessories. Now the other retailers, that may be a different story.

No way in hell they delay a phone due to accessories. Maybe.... ONLY maybe... if they had a shortage of chargers. But I'm sure that's not the case.

They were also sure it was the 9th up until like... the 7th... :P

Re: 23rd? Really?

If it is the 23rd then I cant buy one, too late for me. Its this week or nothing.

Same here....as a matter of fact I'm more than tempted to get a Rezound today just to return it on Thursday if it does launch. I'd gladly pay the $35 restock fee that won't offset the money Verizon will lose to have to sell it as a refurb. At this point it's just bad form that they can't at least release a statement saying "We know you guys want the phone, and we want you to have it, please give us time to make sure it will be perfect".

Yeah... i have to call BS on a delay because of accessories!!!! I bought a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tab this past summer and there were no official Samsung accessories until about a month after the it had been released.

If you read the whole tweet you would see they said hopefully this is the final one.

I read it. Hedge Hedge Hedge. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZ

It'll be the 23rd or 22nd if it's not the 15th, and on the 19th they'll be tweeting the same thing.

thunderbolt 2.0!

So essentially...we should hopefully have a better idea tomorrow if they axed the 15th or not (if a 2 day precedence really exists...of course nothing about this phone really follows precedence. ;))

The Thunderbolt was a cluster like this... and the dates moved around like crazy right up until the end... so, I think it's a fair parralel there. If we don't see something tomorrow morningish... my little heart will be broken.

sounds about right... maybe even today. i believe we saw all the stuff starting to come in about the 9th come flooding in the afternoon of tuesday the 6th.

tuesday is usually a big shipping day... trucks are out monday, deliver monday night/tuesday morning... so if this delay was somewhat related to inventory issues, and the 15th is the day, then we should start to hear stories of more inventory showing up tomorrow.

Galaxy Nexus Accessories Delayed

the 23rd makes sense.. and it doesnt look like its Verizons fault if this is true.. and the logic that they dont want the phone released without the accessories available to buy makes sense..

from my understanding.. the assc. are profitable for Verizon.

Don't believe this, we have tons of accessories ready to go. We've been selling them too.

Guys, if it doesn't release this week even the Verizon reps on here have to agree that Verizon doesn't want this phone on the market during the holiday season.....how many more excuses do people need to understand the whole thing boils down to money and what phones Verizon wants people to choose from during the holiday's.

In Stock but Not Selling!

Hi all,
I've been tracking all this Galaxy Nexus release craziness very closely, and thought I'd share my experience this morning for all of you. The short advance summary of it is this: THEY MUST BE RELEASING IT VERY SOON, LIKELY THIS WEEK. It won't be weeks or months, don't worry.

I randomly decided to stop in a Local Verizon store after getting a cup of Starbucks this morning to see what the sales guys had to say about the Galaxy Nexus release, if anything. Without prompting, the sales guy shows me an inventory screen that says they have 160 of these in stock, but that they are not allowed to sell them yet. He said he didn't know why they were holding off on the release for now, but suspected it had to do with the LTE outage last week on Tuesday. He did say he thought Verizon would give at least 24 hour advance notice of the official release. He offered to unofficially hold one for me too if I wanted it. Very nice!

Anyway, this may not be news for any of you, but hopefully will give all of you some hope that the release may actually happen this week, as rumored!
