Go into Setting>>Google>>Search & Now and enable Allow rotation

A lot of people still don't have v5.8+ yet. As Maverick noted if you want it badly enough go to AP or APKmirror.

That's definitely a bug, but it seems like you're one of the few that have it. Are there many complaints about it elsewhere?

The OP didn't really ask about bugs. S/he asked about every day irritations. Some of these are indeed irritating, and that is also a very subjective thing. To me for example, while I completely understand that with Android memory management, its not necessary to have a Close All apps button, sometimes for the sake of quicker app switching, I don't want to have to swipe through 30 apps. I want to have just my email, phone and calendar open while I'm juggling between those dialing into a work conference call with a previously unused conference call in number. So it is a mild annoyance that this feature isn't available.

UK here N4N.

Whilst here, I wish you could lock icons/widgets in place. The times that I've taken the phone out and something has disappeared from my home screen to one of the others drives me mad.

One bug/annoyance that I have is the volume not staying set. I receive a call and the volume is very low, so I turn it up, put the phone back to my ear and yet again it is still very low. I have to do this over and over and over again for it to finally stay. Another issue I have is that while in a call if the call goes away from the "phone screen" or locks the person on the other end can't hear me. I don't know exactly what triggers it, but it is VERY ANNOYING when it happens.

Once again, since these issues are rarely seen reported (certainly doesn't happen on my 6P), it is likely there is a software conflict on your phone.

I think that's just down to being able to change it in your pocket by accident especially if you have smart lock enabled.

You should have given it more than a day. There is often going to be a period of adaptation especially if you are coming from a <5" phone. I think many have said they thought it was big when they got it and now it seems great. I went from a G3 (5.1") to the 6P. Took me a couple days to lock in the various ways that were comfortable for me to hold it. Now, I love it and don't see it as "giant."

I put it up there with pressing the top of the phone over and over if you came from an iPhone.

But.... not saying it's always the case.

It is definitely software related, but this is on my replacement device that got replaced for the exact same issues. Also, it's not changing in my pocket. When I answer a phone call, the volume is very low much of the time. I pull the phone off my ear adjust the volume to 100%, put the phone back to my ear, and yet again the volume is low again. I take it away from my ear, adjust the volume to 100% and yet again the volume is low again. It takes 3, 4, 5 times of doing this on ONE call before it will stick.This has happened a bunch of times, so I know it is nothing I am doing.

I mean, huh? What exactly do you mean?

What they mean is that they can't arrange their apps in the app drawer. I don't know how many launchers or phones have this ability but I know for that on Samsung phones, you can arrange the apps in the order you choose or have them sorted alphabetically.

Does it happen in Safe mode? I had a Bluetooth/Android Wear issue and booted into Safe mode, and it was gone, so I searched for most recent apps and found that the most recent one was Microsoft Health (which didn't cause any Android Auto issues with my S6 Edge+), and sure enough, after I uninstalled it, problem solved.

Sometimes it fails to save a picture that I just took. Sometimes the camera app takes too long to launch, or too long to actually capture the picture I want.
