The simple things your Nexus 6P just can't do right? or at all?

First, paragraphs really do help make things readable.

Second, your issues with Bluetooth seem to be the exception, and a fairly rare one. I haven't had any issues with Bluetooth at all. You should definitely get a replacement, as the phone should be under warranty.

Personally, I think it is more likely a problem with an incompatible app rather than a hardware issue. I would look carefully at any app that has Bluetooth capability (many fitness apps, for example), Bluetooth keyboard apps, etc.

I had major bluetooth issues, rebooted in Safe mode, discovered they were all gone. I looked at most recently installed apps, and found Microsoft Health (MS Band 2). After uninstalling that, all of my BT issues were gone. So I agree - it's worth checking.

I also heard that there was something with the System UI Tuner in the Moto X forums. Some people were saying that this caused issues there and when they turned it off, the issues with BT went away . It's worth looking into on the 6P, too.

That's definitely a bug, but it seems like you're one of the few that have it. Are there many complaints about it elsewhere?

I've got it too. Lots of folks complaining about it here, product forums, xda, etc. Has to do with changing left/right speaker channels.

It also makes complete sense; if you are going to flip the left-right audio channels, something's got to drop for a split-second.

Then why doesn't this happen on ALL Android devices (at least those with similar speaker setup)?

Mine doesn't read text messages in my car last 2 phones did. Calls work fine using Bluetooth just not texts. I have a ticket in with Google.

I just made a post about this too... Coming from WP10 which read messages and made it easy to reply with voice no matter what was playing on the car stereo was a great feature... I hope this is fixed or added to the Nexus.

Is that a car feature or a phone feature?

The phone is supposed to work in the car if the car supports it which mine does. It makes and receives calls just not texts and Google told me they changed the Bluetooth to a higher rev. I have had real issues with mine and the car.

It might be a difference between the car having Android Auto as compared to simply having Bluetooth connectivity.

Just a guess...

I would hope not since that would make alot of cars useless. They did say they changed the version of Bluetooth they were using.

I have an Android head unit... It's running Kit Kat. My Windows 1520 phone would read text messages, accept calls everything over bluetooth with nothing else to set up on the same stereo. My new 6P won't read or allow me to reply to text messages. It's a phone/android issue.

Mine takes calls and receives them just no texts. I picked up an S7 yesterday if that works I will keep it sell the 6P.
