The V30 rumoured battery: Disappointment or a non issue?

Battery life is not always an issue with every one, I am not an heavy user but sometimes when I need to kill time I start watching YouTube, the reason why I don't care is simple I have the Samsung portable fast charger, buy that and all things are right

I'm an old Moto X (2013, 2014) and Moto Maxx (Droid Turbo global) user. I'll never touch them again because of how ****ty they are with updates. I'd take Samsung over them at this point with regards to updates, honestly.
Wait, the 13 and 14 I had were both great for updates until the Lenovo sale. Did I forget about something? X's were leading the pack at getting new versions.

Did you get screwed by them when they promised an update a couple of years ago. I did on the Droid Maxx. They offered a hundred bucks towards an upgrade...... No thanks.
I got screwed with them because it took them eons to do post their updates. They technically complied with the Open alliance suggestions taking the phone from Kit Kat to Lollipop to Marshmallow, but the phone was stuck on that battery draining bug filled version of Lollipop for a year (5.0.1)...and they communicated poorly how the updates were being posted.

Won't touch them again as long as Lenovo is charge.

I remember that. They said they were going to update the Droid Maxx to Android 5.0/5.1. A year or 2 after that they said they weren't going to anymore. I was pretty p***ed off myself.

Exactly....they were slow when they were Motorola, Good for the brief moment as Google and horrid when Lenovo took over. I was hoping when Google picked them that we would see great things in a Google phone. Instead we have Google using different makers all the time.

Yeah, Motorola isn't doing so well since Lenovo got them last year. I hope they turn themselves around, because Lenovo just seems to be ruining Motorola on purpose, otherwise they have made some seriously bad decisions so far.

They've been doing an excellent job on security updates with last year's Moto Zs.

I thought they were ok, but they could have been better. No headphone jack in the Z Force, Verizon exclusive again, and screen that scratches from practically touching it. I heard the Z Play was good with the battery life and all, but then they shortened the battery on the new model this year.

Remember how they upgraded the unlocked models only a d left the carrier models hanging? And yet for the Moto Maxx they went 4.4.4 to 5.0.1 (and that horrid battery bug) to 6.0.1; Droid Turbo went from 4.4.4 to 5.0.1 to 5.1 to 6.0.1.

Yeah, got a soft spot for Moto hardware and the X 2013, but I don't trust them anymore, frankly.
