Thunderbolt - Best Buy Availability/Pricing/Ordering Discussion

Looks like Xoom's are already at Best Buy's ready to be put on the shelves. Can prolly kiss a Thrs release for the TBolt good bye at this point simply because none of it would make sense and I'm sure if a BBY employee knew, SOMEONE would have said they have them in the stores by now. Hi March.

Can someone tell me how my Pre-Order at BBY is going to work? I pre ordered that first Sunday they announced it, approx at noon so I'm assuming I waswithin 50 people at the most by that time to have pre-ordered.

If they got say 100 units and had 75 pre-orders (for example) do they only sell the 25 and keep the other 75 behind the counter locked away for the pre-order people? How does that all work, do we have like 24hrs to pick it up or something?

The way they did it when I pre-ordered my Blackberry Storm was..... it goes in the order of when you signed up. They had all the phones for pre-orders set aside and the rest were for walk-ins. So say if you were one of the people at the beginning of the list, you received the phone the first day. They did this for about 3-4 days but the Storm was also released one week before Verizon had it so I'm not sure how that's going to work. I was the 4th person on day 1 to receive my phone. They called me 10:00 the night before and said I could pick it up the next day and had 2-3? days for them to hold it before selling it to someone else.

I was set on thinking March would be the release date but alot of what I am now hearing it looks like the 24th or 28th will indeed happen.. I am really thinking it will be the 28th. Plus Verizon is advertising it in Commercials more and more every day, from yesterday and today I have seen 2 separate commercials for it I would say no exageration a combined 20+ times and I dont watch a ton of tv.. Its being advertised way too much rite now for it to be coming out in march imo. But who knows I wouldnt be surprised if that was the case.. None the less I cant wait to find out.. I am #1 on the pre-order list at my best buy so all is good (unless it does not come out for another 2+ weeks)

Well im pissed. The 28th is looking more and more likely. Despite what our system says. This sucks. The only reason im waiting is because of the price i can get it for. It better have all the features advertised. That's for sure. Because these commercials are not making this any easier.

As long as it's out by the 28th I am perfectly fine with it (granted the 24th is obviously what I want).. Its if we go into March and it's still not out that I will finally reach my boiling point lol.

Im mainly irritated at the way this launch is being handled. First i hear the 14th. Time to preorder. THen i have to wait 10 more days for the 24th. Now im told the 24th is a no go. So now i gotta wait till the 28th. Im just very very irritated. Maybe it's cuz i just got home from work and a few of my coworkers are complete idiots, but right now im severely pissed off.

Ya man I feel EXACTLY the same way as you. It sucks, but nothing we can do about it Ah well. I am feeling pretty strongly that we'll have it by Feb 28th (but I am used to being disappointed so who knows?) lol

Bolt is not going to be here thurs, all signs point to a delay. We're not over reacting, we're being realistic.

After being let down on the 14th. I think the smartest thing to do is plan for the worse. That way you never get let down.

I'm with you on the March 3rd or later.
We have no info on them shipping to stores (the Xzoom is already showing up in stores and it releases the 24th),
we had tweets from BMX saying he'd be surprised if it dropped the 24 or in Feb,
we have more info that there are/were some issues with LTE/Bolt,
we have no announcement from VZW two days away from the 24th and consider there has only been 1 major android phone (droid 2) not given at least a week of notice before release(and that phone is not the 4G flagship phone),
we also have no leaks what so ever about production phones in the wild,
we have heard multiple BB and VZW stores/reps that are saying just today that the phone got pushed back (these are most likely the more recent stories since it's new info from the 24th rumors).

Well said. I obviously agree with you 100% on everything. I am beginning to come to terms with it being out March 3rd or a little later.. It sucks because around Feb 12th a few days before the 14th came and went I had come to terms with the 24th.. Yet here I am about to be let down again lol.. Anything before March I will be more than happy with, but the more I think about it I just dont see it coming out before March.
