Thunderbolt Confirmed in this week's Best Buy Ad

Maybe. Or just leave it how it is and if someone comes in to buy one, you sell them a preorder instead.

No preorder for me. If they don't sell me the phone I don't intend to make a second 70 mi round trip to pick up the phone.

Highly doubt it. I haven't heard anything about BB stores getting the phones in stock at this point.

I also think it is highly unlikely. At least not until after President's Day. Thunderbolt is not among the phones included in Best Buy's 2-day only President's Day promotion.

In the other thread, the Best Buy employee on here, TitansJonne, said his store got them in stock yesterday. Tomorrow is Washington's Birthday, so today and tomorrow could be the sale. Who knows. If the Bolt isn't included in that 2 day sale, then today would be the day since it's no holiday. But I hope.

Yea we got them yesterday. We also got a shipment of screen protectors for the TB last friday. In our systems we have an in stock date of the 21st with no street date. That means VZ has not given us a day to release them. This means when we put them on the floor, if theirs no street date, we could begin selling whenever we want.

Oh that's news to me! Crap.. maybe they will sell them then, but I'd definitely call before you waste your time! I'm going to check with my BB today to see if they got them in stock.

My BB ad shows the Thunderbolt and it's listed as "New" just like the already-released Inspire 4G. Sure sounds like it's ready to sell now to me. Maybe because I'm already in an LTE market? (Tampa,FL) I guess we'll see in a few hours.....

It's about a 70mi round trip and I don't wanna have to make that trip for nuttin. If it's a pre-order they can keep their TB and I'll just wait it out until my local VZW gets it. I'm not making 2 trips.

I totally understand your predicament. I wouldn't drive even 15 miles without confirmation. Luckily for me BB store is in the mall pretty close to where I work. And I work weekends. If I had to come from home, I would have had to drive 55 miles ONE WAY just to get to the nearest BB store.
And like you I don't expect the phone to be on the shelves today. I am thinking of just being an a**hole today and go in just to have some fun at the poor reps' expense. I apologize to any BB Mobile staff on this forum. It is nothing personal. I am just being naughty

I'll give it a 1% chance, but I have a very bad attitude about the whole thing now. Their print ad makes it look like the phone is for sale today, their website shows they're only taking pre-orders. So which is it? I'm sorry but I just think how they're handing this is wrong.

VZW site shows coming soon but according to some people BB will have it first so VZW showing that on their site kinda sorta makes sense.

I am not Sure if it is different in other zip codes but my online add had dates.

If you click on more info on the Tbolt ad it has dates of Feb 20th - March something. I checked right before I had to leave for work so I forgot what day in march it said.

I believe someone else pointed out that BB and other retailers plan out their advertising well in advance of whe it hits. It could have been that BB and HTC planned for this phone to hit on the 14th, which would explain the menner in which it was displayed in the ad; and before thay could change anything, were told of the change of date of release.
