I just returned from my local Best Buy and Verizon Wireless.
I bought 5 at each store...

I just got off of the phone with my local Verizon store... I asked the sales person if the Thunderbolt was in fact being sold today and his answer was "Not that I've heard". I then asked him if it was possible that it COULD be sold today and he replied "yes sir, anything's possible". So this leads me to believe that they do in fact have the Bolt in store and ready to sell... they just haven't been given the OK to start selling them.

Lol I love this picture.

But I digress. I've somehow survived every popular phone release since the Original Droid, and this same story plays itself out each and every time. Someone ends up posting that they were able to order and/or get the phone and the rest of us immediately get suspicious and angry because we want one so bad. Then we end up eating crow later on. Oddly I have yet to see this play out where a guy was actually lying. So let's hold off on the troll comments for a few hours at least.

Seems very strange to me that if that were the case (release today) that there would have been some kind of advertising campaign.

I'm going nuts because I can barely get on the Internet with my Storm1, page to page is excruciatingly slow and many times all I get is a white screen. It's awful and I'm sooooooo hoping that even tho I don't have 4G in this area that a new Android is going to make a huge difference in this even at 3G speeds.
