What would be consider a soft launch?

What would be consider a hard launch?

I think knowing this would help a lot.

Soft launch means it will just appear and they will sell it without hype marketing. (Pre Style)

Hard launch is the big bang, Fruit Style.

It's kinda a tweener since this was suppose to be released Feb 14th. Without a date to market it, it's not a true hard launch.

If you think about it. They can release a date next week but it could come out either on 10th or later date like the 31st.

I really don't see how the iPad 2 affects the release of the TB at all, other than VZW possibly postponing the TB release date announcement so that it doesn't get lost in the news cycle.

I mean, how many people are going to walk into a VZW store and have trouble deciding between the iPad 2 and the TB? They are different products; if the iPhone 5 was scheduled for release next week that would be an entirely different story.

just noticed in our inventory system at work the TB has a minimum price for us a 100 bucks. Not sure if this is old news, but our minimum price is the rebate. So it will have a 100 MIR.

or how about who do you work for? Since Verizon doesn't do rebates for phones this expensive...and since BB doesn't do mail in rebates?

Verizon just recently stopped doing the 100 rebates. They could just as easily bring them back

I don't think so. None of the commercials or marketing material has stated that. I'm honestly not sure why its labled that in our system
