TB Question in ref to Data

Good Morning Everyone,

I have a question it might be a silly one but I purchased the incredible for my son when I got Verizon about a month ago just so that I would have a contract when the TB comes out, he has unlimited data package, when a tiered plan is incorporated with the release of the TB and there is no unlimited anymore, will I be able to switch my TB onto his number and let him use my new number with tiered plan since he don?t use hardly any data (13 years old not really into all the web stuff) usually watched YouTube and may Google here and there. But I like to play games a lot and am a regular web surfer. I didn?t want to risk getting a free phone and returning it when TB comes out since no real release date has been issued. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you

IF (a huge IF) Bolt comes with a tiered data plan, whichever line you have the TB on, you will also need to have the tiered data plan.

And did you say you think teenagers don't use much data? If you really think so, you are in for a big surprise.

Most of my brain is like "T-Bolt....I am ready"!

But that little part in the back that always nags is saying "there is problem with the phone".

I do know one thing....Verizon is now on the clock and as the hours tick by without hearing anything...it is becoming more likely that their is indeed a problem!

I think there was a problem with the phone but it's probably been resolved. My guess is that they're waiting on an optimal time to release it -- the marketing people have taken over.

I'm still going to say that this bad boy is coming first week of April. Maybe the 17th of March but I can't see it.

I'm so disappointed and anxious over the (non)release of this phone that I had to take advantage of the $199 Nook color deal on ebay. Hopefully getting it rooted and seeing what it can do will distract me long enough for the TB to finally drop! (not trying to veer off topic - just demonstrating that desperate times call for desperate measures!! LOL). I have resigned myself to the idea that St. Patty's Day will be the day and don't even want to think "what if" that date comes and goes as well....sigh

For a marketing standpoint, I don't see why Verizon would want to wait. The payment and shipment of this phone will be on their Q1 payments but it will count only as lost revenue since the phone hasn't been released. It is in their best interest to release before April so they show a profit.

If...IF...they release in April, it would help their Q2 profits without any payment going out. Unless that is their goal. It is possible that they had great Q1 profits and want to offset so it seems they aren't greedy pricks, but as it stands right now, there are people with money down on this device which again only shows more profit for Q1.

Also, technically this would be Q2 since Q1 ended in December. I still don't understand why most businesses have Q1 starting in September but I guess that's why I sit here waiting for a phone and they sit in offices and laugh about my waiting.

no not all teenagers just my son lol.. he is more into the xbox and playstation 3 after seeing his brother which is 21 with the Evo he wanted something like that but since I am not a Sprint fan I took the Verizon route. When I received the first bill he had like 40 text messages and very little data. Prior to this phone him and I were on the AT&T network and we both had iphones he rarely used his phone he didn't like it at all. I just chalked that up to bad networking and thought he would use the one with Verizon a lot and he do but it still don't amount to what could be used, its just more than what he was using. Let me ad he is not a social butterfly very quiet and to himself

He happily "previewed" some videos and demo games from Vcast, not realizing that also meant data transfer and cost me money. He thought as long as he did not "buy" from Vcast, he was good. I was able to talk customer service into bringing the bill down to 300+something and then put parental control on his phone.
No I did not yell at him. He did not realize what he was doing. My job requires me to be patient with kids and I practice that at home too

I'm not sure I've given up hope on the phone yet, but I'm getting close. I do agree with you though that they seemed to have dropped the ball.
