I'm really not sure that Apple is the reason for this unconscionable delay. If I had to guess, I'd say there were issues with Verizon's 4G network, but in any case, I think it'll be released this coming Thursday, the 10th.

yes, they had the rubbery texture, metallicy colors (other than the black). These were non-Verizon cases, the packaging was very misleading, made you think it was VZW. keep in mind, I saw these in a VZW "authorized" store.
