The TB is the Mercedez Benz of smartphones world , root it and you will have a high customizable tool in technology. Sorry to hear from BB world its not working for you guys.

I think it is just too different from BB and harder for me to adjust to Droid.

My last BB was probably too long ago. I had a VZW BB Pearl. Although it was nicer than a non-smartphone, I could never ever consider going back to that again. By the time I got my OG Droid, I had enough with pulling the battery every 3 days because RIM didn't have the skill to design their apps to not leak memory and didn't think to put a way to turn off the phone for real... and the extreme amount of time it took to boot back up was almost unbearable. Torture, even. Yeah, I have some unresolved issues with my BB >.>

I did like BBM, though. Most people I've talked to about BB agree that BBM is probably the best messaging app on any device.

But the coolest thing that ever happened to me on any phone, ever, was root. When I rooted my OG Droid, it was like an entire new world opened up to me. I had genuine fun messing around with my phone... more fun than even my computer. I never had a device that personal before. The TB is just like that, only faster and with 4G capability.

I'm keeping mine

Both my wife and I love our Thunderbolts. We both transitioned from BB. I was disappointed initially with the battery, so I went out and bought both phones the extended battery. I have been playing with and using my phone all day and still have 40% battery. I didn't buy this phone to be a little dainty wafer. I bought it to watch movies, play games, keep my business organized, keep my youth sports teams organized, look up things on the web at jobsites, text my friends all day long, talk when I want and now I can do that. I have always needed to buy my phones extra or extended batteries.

This phone freakin' rocks, I'm going nuts in the Market buying apps that are truly useful to me.

I also am a big guy with big hands, so I bought the pogo sketch stylus and WOW! what a difference it made in my android experience.

I am keeping mine for sure. I think once some ota firmware and the 2.3 gb updates come out it will be almost prefect. :)

I actually pulled my ipod touch out of my car today to update it and it was so hard to use... the screen is terribly small and ios 4 is just annoying to use now. funny how you dont really notice how bad things are until you get something 10 times better!

:D

Keeping mine! I had the Dinc (now the wife has it), and I am really enjoying the LTE speeds, and the responsiveness of this phone's processor.

Mine already went back. The battery life is completely unacceptable. Not sure what im going to get now. May wait on the Bionic or the evo 3d.

Mike, for some there will never be a BB replacement and that's OK. For me, dumping the Storm was one of the easiest things I have ever done. Yes, there have been some adjustments but change is good!

I wonder if there is a local BB to TB group I can join to help me through this? ;)

Very true, my BB I almost threw it out the window the first day. Then I got used to it. A lot of this reminds me of when the Storm came out. The lovers and haters all came out.:)

No doubt, keeping mine. Great phone. 30+ hours battery life for me.

I have to ask; how are you getting 30+ hours? I am getting 10-15 with moderate use, which I consider to be pretty decent. I can't imagine getting 30 hours, unless I didn't use it and put it in airplane mode.

I'm keeping mine..I love it!!
The only problem i have with it is the battery life, I'm getting about 6-7 hours but would like to get more life. I'm hoping for a bigger battery using the same stock door in the next few weeks..
Other than that, My TB is Perfect!!!
