Today is the 18th. WHERE'S MY FROYO!!!

Wheres this mfj proclaimed vzw employee at when we need some more info , they havent posted in 2 days

Jeez I hope they ok , lol :p , but seriously they have been noticeablity quiet from what they was ;)

This update is bull****. i should just be able to download from HTC or Verizon Wireless. Im getting really pissed. I thought taht every day 100k Dincs will get it. There is no mother****ing way there are more than 300k Dincs.

Just because you thought that, it does not make it so. The best data available was 10k on Friday (no word about Sat and Sun, but could have been an additional 10k per day), then 100k today, then 200k per day Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Fri. That's 910,000 (at least).

You really need to chill. If you can't wait, the RUU instructions are dead simple.

EDIT: just noticed your Location -- how ironic is it that you're from Fal-(foul?)-mouth?! Get it? LOL :p

i think i got one more question......if the RUU is the official 2.2 then why the hell is erryone complaining about not getting the ota or the update.zip file.....whats the issue?

Well, for people like me who have Mac computers, the RUU isn't an option.

If it doesnt come out this week I probably will do the RUU I got an Windows based XP media center so it can Do it ,,,,odd a mac cant tho

You're not going to brick the phone. If you can plug your phone into your computer and install any basic piece of software on a PC, you can do this (unless you only have access to a Windows7 computer -- but even that won't brick anything, it just won't work).

I have to admit, for an official roll out the numbers don't seem to be adding up. Also, with the lack of a manual way to update verizon and HTC are missing out on an opportunity for experienced users to fully test the update before the general users get it automatically.

but it will void the warrenty correct?

Verizon is blowing smoke blaming HTC for the OTA slowdown. Verizon has its own FOTA severs run by 2 companies (I cannot name them). FOTA testing is done with the image then it is rolled out. Verizon is the one doing it slowly not HTC.

Why? Who knows but they think they are doing the right thing. I guess sending 93MB to thousands at a time will cause an over load.(?)

It will come and you will not notice much of anything once it is installed unless you run benchmarks (Linpac, Java marks, etc) or use the tether or hotspot feature. If you use Easytether and don't care about hotspot then I bet we cannot even tell it is FroYo without looking at the version in settings.

this is merely my $0.02 as a person who has delivered multiple devices to VZW. :O)

What is in it for Verizon anyways? If you already own the DI you aren't going to do anything anyways and if you don't rumors have it that the new batches will ship with 2.2. The only thing that I can say truly bothers me is that Verizon announced this roll out officially and thus should do so in a timely manner. With the availability issues the DI has encountered it shouldn't be a long roll out if it is truly being rolled out!
