So..when you say disable, does that mean the only way it will be enabled is by using the command "enable"? I ask, because at the top you have polaris office listed as what you consider bloatware, but i used cleanTOOL, and my polaris is still working, so I read on down where you specify what will be disabled in the quote and the legend, and I dont see where polaris is listed there. just wondering if it was one that was disabled or not? cuz I can see where it is always going and collecting data.

Okay, I need to apologize, I ran the cleanTOOL the other night, and had posted that my polaris office was still running (as were most the social apps). SO I went back thru and re read every post and my mistake became clear. I failed to do the temp root prior to running cleanTOOL, which I have now done the right way and everything on the phone that was on the list shut down. so..I apologize for posting something that was obviously my mistake and thank you for your knowledge on this subject matter.I have been doing battery drain observations for about 10 days using dif tweaks and tips with no real results which I was getting tired of the outcome. this has revamped my interest and am looking forward to the results of today. I am a noob and am older than I care to admit but I know what I want from my phone and am willing to learn how to get it. So I appreciate the knowledge and advice all the "masters" in this forum so patiently give.

Whoa holy crap! I've been gone from this thread for a while, but please, reconfirm for me that you can disable Sense and use a custom launcher on this? It will seriously work?
Edit: Also, will a reboot enable Sense automatically again, or will only a hard reset do that?
Yes, desense'ifying is possible. Removing Sense sticks just like all the other package disabling features. I'm running LP now and Sense is nowhere to be found. Funny that Scott added that feature considering that he likes Sense...and no that's not a complaint!
Thanks for the response. I do like Sense, but I sort of miss my GoLauncher days back on the OG Droid. I wish I could keep the ability to open up any 4 apps straight from the lock screen, though.
You can keep that. Just don't disable that lockscreen and the customize app. Remember you can get to customize in Settings, so as long as you don't disable it you can still do your lock screens and other "customizations" not relating to the Sense Launcher.
I want to edit the script so that it only removes some of the apps. However, it seems that the app list has changed in the new 2.1 script from the example script in the first post.
Could someone tell me what program is associated with each line so I know what to remove:
