I'm paying 79 + 50 for unlimited data + 30 for tethering + whatever I'm paying monthly for my v20

My biggest concern is that 22gb. How quick are they to throttle that? I average between 30 and 50 GB a month and that's with tethering.

Does anyone know if that 10gb tether limit is separate from the 22gb?

According to some reports, T-Mobile is almost equal to Verizon in coverage. I disagree with this report because there are still plenty of areas my friend loses signal that I don't. However, with the gap closing, Verizon had to do this and also include HD quality data.

Depends on the area. My area used to be Verizon dominant and T-Mobile would be good here but not there but now I have LTE all over and even have LTE on the drive from Jville to Orlando (and all while in Orlando)... So I have seen the improvement.

I am on a grandfathered plan on T-Mobile so I have HD video for $50 (2line/$100) so I am set at the moment .

Usually it isn't separate -- but the throttle only happens at 22 GB if the tower is congested. If it isn't it continues on like normal.

After reading on HoFo and reddit I think I will keep our 3 UDPs and pass on this. I pay for MHS on two lines because those two used 180GB last month. This is our home internet as nothing else is available. The 10GB tether makes the new plan not a good deal because you can't do anything on 3G. My 3 lines are in contract until 7/2018.

I can't imagine living in an area with limited connectivity. Cellular coverage is mediocre for gaming so I'd be fairly annoyed to say the least. In your case, I wouldn't switch either. This new plan is great for many but bad for others.

It's not just for new subscribers. The link I posted has a video and it mentions both new and current subscribers. But we will know for sure in a mater of hours.

This wouldn't surprise me. Wasn't this the case with Verizon and other carriers when data was unlimited but we paid a premium for minutes? I seem to remember paying $120 for unlimited everything back in the day when I needed it. Unfortunately, I also had to sacrifice my 17% discount back then too.

It's $65 + $20 Line Access to bring the total to $85. If you enable Autopay, it brings the cost down to $80 per month.

As mentioned by an above poster, corporate discounts don't apply to this plan.

I went through their site, chose two devices (my wife and I) and went all the way to checkout hoping we'd be paying the same, if not less than we do on T-Mobile. T-Mobile is fantastic where we live so there's no need to switch, but I was curious, and as you can see below, the prices seem incredibly high.

Even if I remove $22 of insurance and $6 off in difference of what we pay per month on an installment plan, it's still far more expensive than T-Mobile. For only Two devices!!

Don't know why all the screenshots aren't showing, but the plan looks like this:

They still have "S" "M" ans "L" data bucket plans, but all the higher data bucket plans are gone.

Single line: $65 per month, plus $20 access fee -$5/month if you have auto pay. Multi-line: $110/month, + $20 per line - $10 auto pay discount, so two lines works out to $70 per month. Mexico and Canada roaming is included, BUT if you go over 50% usage in a 60-day period outside the U.S., they "may" remove that feature. Also,"Discounts not available" as stated above. Oh, and PLUS fees and taxes.

Going through the FAQs, the 22 GB throttle and 10 GB hotspot throttle is per line.

I don't see the fees for the extra devices listed.

I'm close to the 22GB number most months, not sure about the amount that is hotspot. My wife is well below 22 GB each month on her line, no MHS on her line.

Verizon is bringing unlimited data back tomorrow February 13th. It's $80 per month for a single line and $45 for each additional line. Throttling may occur after 22GB but isn't a guarantee to happen. I am not sure if that's $80 plus $20 for the line or $80 for everything. Corporate speak is difficult to figure out at times.

Edit: Based on Verizon current pricing, I believe it may be $80 + $20 Line Access = $100 per month. I can't confirm though. Their advertising is unclear.

I think I'm going to stick with my current plan, if for no other reason than they have made price comparison extremely difficult. I'm currently paying about $135 for the 16 GB XL plan including line access fees on 3 lines. With bonus data, I'm up to 22 GB already plus the occasional carryover. It's a more everything plan with the throttled overage protection.

I can't even tell what the unlimited plan would cost. The large print says $54/line for 3 lines ($162), but the fine print says $110 plus $20/line access fee. That's $170 for 3 lines, but the wording of the fine print isn't clear if that's before or after $5/line auto pay discount. If it's before, then it's $155, and still not matching the large print. It's close, but still makes me question what the real price is.

If that's the case, it's not worth the extra ~$20 just to have non-throttled data when I go over 22 GB. That's assuming no network congestion that could still result in being throttled.

I'll throw out my scenario, According to VZ compare your plan. I have 2 phones under the UDP with unlimited text and 700 minutes talk with an employee discount and before taxes I end up at 168.00. With the new plan Its says Monthly total is 150.00 Savings of 18.00 So I gain unlimited talk but lose unlimited hot spot. and in big bold letters at the top it says your Employee discount is not valid on this plan The only benefit I see is that I will need to add another line in the future for a kid and this would allow me to do it.
