Update: ROM update (not Froyo) available now!

I read that captivate users get a minor update tomorrow and were able to get it early by changing the date on your phone to 23rd. I'm rooted and have some bloatware removed so it didn't work for me. Can someone who's stock and not rooted try the trick to see if it works?

Just checked for system update and I had an update!

I just went and checked for a system upgrade on my SF and it said I had updates to download. I downloaded them but not sure what changed? It still says firmware 2.1-update 1 on it.

Anyone else see this?

No, not rooted. I thought I read that you have to have wi-fi off to pull updates.

I tried with Wifi on and off.. but I am rooted and de-Binged... so maybe that has something to do with it.. Hope not.

My wifi is off, I'm sitting at work and we do not have it here. I was trying to watch and see what it said while it was doing the update but missed most of it. It only lasted a min or two.

Downloading now. I'm rooted, lag fix and no bing. Seemed to download fine, but wifi had to be off..... I'll post an update when its done
