Please do! I've also sent an inquiry message to the Sprint Support staff via the Sprint website, I'll fill you guys in if I hear anything worth while.

if you ask someone that got the Echo, that is a premier customer, maybe they have input, because I believe they were allowed to order early, and I'm sure it will be close to the same.

I just chatted with a sprint rep on my account and he told me on Tuesday I must "sign in " to my account, hit my rewards link, then hit premere forums link. So what this tells me is the link can be posted anywhere, don't matter. You must sign in to your account and they will know. If your not premier customer then that link is not on your account.

So. Here's what I got out of them

My original message:

Hello,
I have a just a few questions regarding the upcoming Evo 3D launch. I understand Sprint Premier customers in good standing will be given the opportunity to order the phone on June 21st (3 days before the store release)
First I'd like to know if my Sprint Premier (Silver) account is eligible. Secondly, I'd like to know (if I ordered as soon as possible on the 21st, and provided supplies are still available) what the odds are that the phone would be delivered to me before the in-store release date of June 24th (I want to take whatever route will get the phone in my hands the fastest :) ) Thank you for your time!
~Danny

Their response:

Dear Danny:
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I am happy to assist you today.
Unfortunately, I have not been informed of this offer. We have had offers for other devices like this in the past. If the phone was ordered on the 21st, the only way you would receive it before the 24th would be
to pay for overnight shipping.
However, I do know if you visit a Sprint store and purchase a $50 Sprint gift card, you will be placed on the wait list for the HTC EVO 3D. Sprint contacts the customer 3 – 5 days prior to the launch to set an appointment for pick-up. The $50 gift card could then be used towards the purchase of the device once its released. Customers are guaranteed a device; however, dependent upon capacity, not all customers may receive a device on day of launch.
We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to answer your questions. Please reply to this email or visit sprint.com if we can be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Sprint

Not really a whole lot of help. Kind of bummed that she said we'd have to "Pay for overnight shipping" if we wanted to get it before the in store launch date.

Looks like I'll be moseying on over to the Sprint Store after work today to throw down $50 on a gift card (I don't like to take risks with things this important). :p

I wouldn't take the word of a service rep that hasn't even heard of the Premier Customer Early Purchase Offer .. Apparently THAT rep would be the last person I would have continued to talk to. As stated before by so many long time Sprint customers, I have received my package overnight 95% of the time WITHOUT paying the next day delivery charge.;)

I was told by a friend that worked at Sprint that as an added benefit of being a premier member, we receive a sort of "first-dibs" by ordering the phone on the 21st. However, the phone will not ship until the day after. With overnight shipping (which I was told costs about $20), you may receive the phone on the 23rd, and with regular free shipping, it "most-likely" will not be received until the 24th.

This is how he understood it.

With that said, I went to my Sprint store to preorder today, because I'm not paying $20 for shipping (I'm cheap like that), and I do not want to wait until UPS arrives on the 24th, I'd rather have it at 8 AM on Friday.

YOU talk to someone who had no idea what they were doing. My Rep made me wait about 5 mins so he could go find the information and he came back and new about the 21st and told me exactly what I had to do.

I'm sticking with the Sprint Store, because I will let them deal with my wife and doing the swap of her phone and endless questions. :-!:p

I know, no need to get accusatory, I'm not discrediting what you said you'd found out in the slightest and I do also agree that the first level support you get from the method of communication I used are typically the last to know about promotions and things such as this. I was simply sharing what I had heard.

And nothing is worst than the anxiety of waiting for a package, which for some reason always seem to be delivered post 4 PM. Bah.

YES, that is also very annoying. I can have it in my hands and not have to wait any longer.

Does anyone really believe or have proof that the link will be public? Because heres what I KNOW from Sprint official emails...

On the 21st(or near there) I will get an email saying I can now buy an Evo 3d. I will then go online to my account, click on my rewards tab, and the link will be there to buy it. Nowhere does it mention a forum or community.

So, does anyone KNOW different? Not just heard or read from "Art" (no offense, but I don't know/of him)
Im sticking with what Sprint says to me directly. I cant imagine they would make a premier customer register for forums to buy early. Not all premiers care about the community like us mega nerds. ;)

Art & Deborrah are Admin's on the Sprint Premier Forum. Both of them are providing valuable info about the ordering that will take place on the 21st. I have copied some of thier responses (I hope this does not violate any forum rules.

I will post the link at 8 AM Central time on 6/21. I'm not sure what the quantity is that is set aside for the Premier presale, but we've been reassured that this device shouldn't have the inventory issues that the Evo had.

Re: Premier Customers Can Buy The Evo 3D on June 21st
I'm not sure what your Sprint source is, but I exchanged emails directly with the websales team who confirmed for me that the activation fees you're speaking of only apply to new customers, not upgrading customers. The $18 upgrade fee that customers are charged in Retail stores do not apply when upgrading via sprint.com.

The $18 upgrade fee DOES apply in the Retail store, so that would be part of the transaction in the Retail store if you complete that transaction. Sprint.com is the only way to get the upgrade fee waived. It's not related to your being Premier. Rather, it's waived because you shop online. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the interest. The name of the discussion will be "Premier Customers: Order Your HTC Evo 3D Now". You can also click on my profile to get an email each time I post and follow me on twitter at "@Sprint_Premier", as I will also send out a tweet.

My teammate Deb will address your ordering/delivery concerns in a separate reply so stay tuned for that. Thanks. ?art

Re: Premier Customers Can Buy The Evo 3D on June 21st
Regarding ordering time, the link has to be tested to ensure it's working properly and I must physically post it here, so that's why I'm promising 8 AM. The link may be active prior to that time, but I'm not in charge of that. I'm only in charge of posting it to the community so you are aware of it. Sorry, I wish I had more control over it but I'm just a cog in the wheel

Hi, this is Deb from Premier Team. So here's what I've found regarding ordering/shipping/receipt of devices when ordered online:
- We always use Overnight Shipping for devices purchased online.
- In general, devices purchased before 4 p.m. EASTERN meet the deadline for shipping same night for next day receipt.
- There is a risk that if the volume of orders is exceedingly high for the day, the order may not process that same day. Once it does process, the device ships overnight.
I, personally, have not heard of any order processing delays happening with any of our previous online Premier First to Buys. However, if online demand exceeds daily order processing capacity, I wanted to make sure you were aware of the potential delay.
The good news is that no one else besides Premier can order online until after the phone is launched to the public. I wish I could guarantee all orders will be processed same day, but I don't know what to expect regarding demand.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
deb

I wish we had a systematic way to restrict the link to just Premier, but we currently don't. So, if someone does post it, a non-Premier customers could access it.

Yes, you'll be able to activate the phone as soon as it arrives. That's part of the reason why we're only able to offer a 3 day head start - we need to be able to support the phone fully. Thanks. -art

anyone could order via the Premier link, but it will only be publicized via our Premier-targeted communication channels like this. Thanks.

All, just to update you - based on the feedback received on this post, we will NOT be promoting the Premier first to buy option on Twitter, only on this forum. Thanks for your feedback. -art

Right! I just checked the forum. A link will be posted on the Sprint Premier Forum to order the phone at 8 AM on the 21st. ALL phones ordered online always get overnight shipping.

The only concern is with the barrage of orders may cause delay in order processing.

I really don't get that they promote this as a perk for premier customers but anyone would be able to click on the link to order ... That's really a half-ass type of special order system ... From Sprints official announcement they said I would be emailed a link , NOT that I had to go out and FIND the link that "Art" puts in 1 particular forum ... This kinda pisses me off.

I agree.

If this is for SP Customers only they should have a way to decifer who is SP and who isnt.

What is going to happen on the 21st is Sprint will get overloaded with orders and ship some of them out on the 21st then some on the 22nd and so on.

No doubt they will get overloaded.

I wonder if I can bill this early order to my sprint account, instead of having it charged right then?

Hell ... That's one of the main reasons I ALWAYS go through Sprint ... Just charge it to my account and calls it a day ... ;)
