I know, no need to get accusatory, I'm not discrediting what you said you'd found out in the slightest and I do also agree that the first level support you get from the method of communication I used are typically the last to know about promotions and things such as this. I was simply sharing what I had heard.

They've edited some posts. They now claim they will not be twit, er, tweeting the url based on the negative feedback of all the Premiere people wanting it to remain exclusive. This seems like a cluster in the making......

Still a little (lot) confused why they need to post something in the forum when they already told people how to access it via their profile Premiere menu. I think there are still a few marketing wires crossed in Sprintland.

Nah man, its all good. I guess it was the caps on the 'you' lol. Just tryin to contribute what I had heard for the good of the community, I appreciate that you're doing the same. BTW I got my hands on one tonight for about 15 minutes when I went in to get my card (manager had one). REALLY slick :)

well not sero-p or eprp but most of them bought evos and have no upgrade.

The community forum is the link they are talking about in your Sprint Premier menu, that's why this is all so strange. Anyway, I would think it would be pretty easy for them to make sure your number is eligible to upgrade to the Evo 3D.

My personal theory is that the Sprint reps in charge of the thing aren't completely sure how the system will work (and it's not really their responsibility), so they are playing it safe and saying that they can't guarantee the link is secure. I think the system will be set to only let Sprint premier users purchase the phone. Maybe some of you non-premier people can give it a try and report what happens?

I might just do that, my Sprint store is worrying me with their lack of knowledge on how this launch is going to go.

THIS is why I am so pissed with this setup ... ANYONE can get access to the Premier Customer Forum ... If you google or yahoo " Sprint Premier Forum " it will get you in ... Why wouldn't they just have you log into your account (which has your Premier status) and have the system be smart enough to know your status ... Right now its like where playing a game of scavenger hunt ... Go here ... then this link will bring you here ... then get that code word and enter it in here ... then find the box that says this ... WHATEVER .. I've always said this Premier Program was a joke because of how they let EVERYONE participate ... This was why they created the Gold and Silver tier but even that is a joke ... Because anyone of those people can just call Customer Care or this " Art " guy and they would get the Gold perks of the yearly upgrade .

BTW: I didn't want my first post of the day to be a rant, but there you have it ... Its done and out of the way .:eek:
 
Is there any way to know if we will actually get the phones before the 24th? Every time I ask Sprint they say they won't be mailed out until the 24th anyway. So why should I not just go pick up my 2 evo 3d's from radio shack on that morning?

Sprint has consistently delivered all my devices next day/overnight 95% of the time ... I have been with Sprint about 12 years.

Ya I've read this numerous times before across many forums but this isn't necessarily the same situation. They have a hard launch date here of the 24th to deal with and they specifically telling me NOT to expect shipment before the 24th. Now that can just be the official line they have to say and I get that or it may be true. Otherwise if this is true I suspect alot of retailers would get a lil pissed off at losing a decent chunk of business as a result.

I don't see the point of Sprint offering to purchase the phone 3 days earlier without actually shipping them out before the national launch date ... And as far as retailers being pissed ... This is Sprints call ... they can do what they want ... The other retailers better be happy that sprint allowed them the phone to sell ... Best buy could have done what The Shack did and offer special perks to buy from them ... I'm sure if Best Buy would have offered a Bluetooth, Face shield, and a Case along with what they are offering, people would have waited and bought from them.
 
Right! I just checked the forum. A link will be posted on the Sprint Premier Forum to order the phone at 8 AM on the 21st. ALL phones ordered online always get overnight shipping.

The only concern is with the barrage of orders may cause delay in order processing.

What link? I thought people had to sign into their account and go to the "my rewards" part of the premier section. Maybe I read it wrong.

some people have said which i doubt but that the link will work for all customers... i doubt it but i want to try anyway since i got screwed over without notification
 
The "link" should work for all customers, however the ability to pre-order on the 21st will/should require a login to your account to apply the order which will verify your SP status. I strongly feel we are over thinking this way too much.
 
From my understanding you can NOT get to the SP Customers forums unless you are a SP customer.

When you log into Sprint.com and your an SP customer you see an SP customer ICON you can click on that will take you to the SP section of Sprint.com.
