UPDATE THE LINK IS LIVE 6/20 *** Sprint Premier Customers Can Buy Evo 3D NOW !!!

Then again, if I'm not lucky enough to get mine ordered before their "limited supplies" are depleted, then the Radio Shack pre-order would end up saving my butt and allow me to at least be guaranteed the phone XD

I've been with Sprint for over 12 years and must have purchased at least 15 different phones in every way they have to buy ... Here is a lil tip ... ALWAYS ask for the small things to be waived and they will normally do it ... Shipping ... Activation fee ... Restocking fee etc ... Another thing is if you don't get anywhere with the store reps immediately call customer service and they will help ... If you have a problem and it doesn't get resolved ALWAYS ask to speak to someone else that CAN resolve it ... Sprint can't afford to lose good long time loyal customers.

Yea, I've been with sprint for alittle over 8 years, but I've always just bought my phones either in the store when my upgrade discount would allow me to get a phone for free, or went online and bought a phone from ebay or some other source for really cheap and just had it activated for free. never really had to deal with this sorta thing lol.

But yea, I'll def be trying to get one on the 21st, and if shipping isn't free, what would you recommend doing to get it as such? Just call customer support after buying the phone with shipping, and ask the shipping to be credited to the account?

Just tell them Costumer Service said that the shipping was free and be adamant about it ... If they still want to charge just let them then call Costumer Service and say online sales made a mistake and charged you and you WANT a credit ... Again be firm and you should succeed. ;)

Does anyone know how the rebate will work? The instant rebate that Sprint is currently trialing is set to expire on 6/23, just in time for the 6/24 launch. Will everyone with in-store purchases be stuck with mail-in rebates while the premier customers that order online on 6/21 get the added convenience of the instant rebate? I'm a premier customer but I was going to hold out until I can purchase in-store. If I'll be stuck with the mail-in I'll order online then.

Lol mmk then, although, tell WHO that Customer Service said it was free? Last I knew, when you purchase an item online, you are communicating with a computer server, not some human :-\

Wow didn't know about that sorta thing O.O Idk about that one XD

You know something i just noticed on ebay? There are people selling chargers, batteries, extended batteries, cases, and docks! My question to those people, is how the heck are they able to get these products to sell for a phone that isn't released yet? I mean, i can understand if some people have a review version of the phone, but it still makes me rather concerned at the fact that there is no way for any of us to be certain that the "products" actually FIT the phone the way it should lol.

Since the Premier Program is exclusive to Sprint and the fact that you can't walk into a Sprint store to purchase the EVO 3D on June 21st and purchasing of the Evo 3D is restricted to online sales only ... That would more than likely be 99.9% probably that you would not be able to walk into a Best Buy on the 21st and purchase this superior device. But there is still that .1% ... Keep hope alive ;)

You answered your own questions, these sellers have dummy phones probably to use in development of accessories. If you are buying from a reputable seller/brand, there is a very good chance it will fit.

yea, but Ebay isn't exactly a "reputable" place to buy such "quality" cases. half of them even looked like they were simply Evo 4G cases that had a larger camera section simply cut out of them since most cases i saw also had an obvious slit for where the kick stand were to slide out from on an Evo 4G XD

Just to wrap this little one in a bow, hopefully. It looks like Sprint may be extending the instant rebate program till 7/23. So I'll be keeping my in-store preorder, taking 6/24 off from work and start the weekend enjoying my new phone.

That website looks shady and I can't find any other sources anywhere confirming that the instant rebates have been extended ... Not even in the sprintuser forums ... Double check before you put all your eggs in that basket.

Free Shipping and Activation for online orders

good to know. Lot of things cleared up. Since there are two options for shipping what do you think the price would be to overnight the phone to get the cool factor of having it early?

Did we ever get a clear answer on credit for trading in an Evo? I think Solo1 said he thought the credit for the Evo went directly on the account.

To make it pay for the 3D before buying, would that mean going phoneless for a few days/week or two?

Site:
Sprint cannot apply the account credit until the equipment has been received. The device must meet the program criteria including: correct model, powers up, contains no loose internal components, has no obvious damage beyond normal wear and tear, and includes the battery

just seeing what you guys think... i will be in florida on vacation from 19th to 26th so instead of having someone go to a radio shack i could pre order at and be a weekend out of town without a phone like i did last year with the original evo. im hoping to order the 21st and since i am a business account i am changing the address and overnighting it to my vacation spot ha. you guys think this is the best route since i cant pre order from one down there...

From my understanding from talking to various reps in store, phone , and live chats, you can keep your current phone until your new device arrives then either send in or take your OG device to a Sprint retail store for them to "buy back" ... At that time they will credit your account the $150 (buy back program [don't get this confused with the $150 rebate upgrade].

I am a new sprint premier gold customer (just over 10 years with sprint), and have had the everything plus referral plan for a while now. Does anyone know if I'll have any problems ordering on the 21st online with my everything plus referral plan? When I purchased my Pre- two years ago, I was told that I could only order through telesales. I just hope if I order it on the 21st it arrives before the 24th, but at least I won't have to wait in long lines.
If you're Premier Gold, you should have no problem. And Sprint usually has your pkg. to you within 2 days; sometimes next day, depending on the time of day you place the order. So make sure you order very early in the a.m.
