Does anyone know how the rebate will work? The instant rebate that Sprint is currently trialing is set to expire on 6/23, just in time for the 6/24 launch. Will everyone with in-store purchases be stuck with mail-in rebates while the premier customers that order online on 6/21 get the added convenience of the instant rebate? I'm a premier customer but I was going to hold out until I can purchase in-store. If I'll be stuck with the mail-in I'll order online then.

You posted that Sprint has extended their instant rebate till July 23rd, 2011 with a link that I was skeptical about ... In doing further searches I found the following links to reputable sites that I know that DOES CONFIRM that through a leaked Sprint Playbook, the Instant Rebate has been extended til July 23rd, 2011.

Actually the official Sprint Mobile Hot Spot Tethering is an added $30month service from Sprint ... This allows you to tether more than one device on Sprints newtwork ... OR ... You can have "free" usb tethering with apps such as EASY TETHER and PDANet ... or if you are rooted you have the greatest options of free Wireless BT tethering with many other apps from the market ... All except the Paid subscription is with a single device only.

From what I just read , you can try ordering today through telesales and they will ship it out on the 21st ... No one has confirmed this yet but you can try today. EDIT: The OP of that thread called telesales and confirmed they COULD NOT order until the 21st of June.

A week from Tuesday, can't wait. I have no upgrade available to me but the trade in thing is great. If I take shield off my screen this device looks like it just came out of the box. I was going to give it to one of my kids but the hell with thay. They have evo shifts so it's not like they are hurting for a good phone. Already broke the news to them,,,, im trading this baby in.

I havent seen that asked as of yet. If not I will go pre-order at Sprint Store and recieve free activation and in store trade in of $150 for the EVO

yeah they told me no too that it will not even be in their system yet... continued to even get response from other some reps at first that they do not even know about the 21st presale even lol got to love untrained reps. still no answer about midnight et or not???? one rep told me after asking his supervisor said that you can even go into a sprint store and get it the 21st as premier but that does not seem like it could be true????

Yeah, but Art, the guy managing the link release, said he's not releasing the link until 8am central time on the Sprint community boards. That's what "on your sprint account" means. They tell you to go to your Sprint Premier benefits link and then click on community.

So ordering may be live at midnight, but no one but Art will know where to do it!

Are you kidding me ... I just realize that it may be a special link and they might distribute that link in waves as to not slow down the server ... In any case I am damn sure that once anyone gets the link it will start hitting the forums quicker than a chetah chasing after a sick wilder beast ... and thats quick .

Lol it sure will. I'm not ordering one online, but I hope they check to see if the people ordering are actually premier customers or have some sort of way to tell....for fairness of you all who are ordering online of course.

Yeah, "Art" and "Deborrah" both indicated that it would be release at 8am central and that there is no way to distinguish between premier and non-premier, but they've "never had a problem with the FIrst to Buy program before," so they aren't worried about it... Sorry guys, but I won't be the one to post it here (out of fairness to all the people who have earned the right to order early with their premier status). Maybe they'll have some way to charge those non-premier people for the full price of the phone when they try to activate it . A lot of people over there aren't very happy about that news though. The whopping 5 or 6 seconds I'll have to buy the phone before the link gets posted is hardly a premier benefit in my opinion.

P.S. Art said a couple times that he is the one charged with releasing the link and has even told us what the thread will be called on the forum. So unless someone has a way of monitoring Sprint's site for new pages that aren't listed yet, no one will have it until he releases the link.
