Re: Watch release cancelled

You won't see the credit til 1-2 billing cycles as usual with any other automated credit of this nature.

Re: Watch release cancelled

sorry, but could i ask you elaborate more on EVERYBODY trying to get it out of our hands? are you being told by management to ask for it back from customers who come in and are interested in the situation, or just offering a refund? seems without a true recall, this is more a legal issue or quality failure as the watch gets older. even a major quality issue would likely see a recall to those who've already received it, right?

When I say everybody I'm referring to Att, verizon and LG collectively. Honestly the device wasn't flying off shelves our store sold 2 including mine It was just a niche item so it's not like we're asking each individual customer to bring it back the majority of our customers never knew it was released or what it was anyway. customers whose email address is updated on their accounts will receive an email informing them of the cancellation / voluntary recall. It doesn't seem like a legal thing.

Not sure if this was already asked. Can buyers still return the watch for full refund say after 6 months whether or not they receive an email from AT&T on the recall?

Nope the regular 14 day return period will apply. No restock fee will be applied and the bill credit will auto generate. In 1-2 billing cycles. Pretty sure if you have anything warranty issues they will be forwarded to LG after that if you neglect to return it during this grace period

Re: Watch release cancelled

I'll keep it and just get another when it's released. It's working perfectly for me. It's not really breaking my bank anyway.

Don't know that I totally agree with you. Has every single purchaser of this watch even been notified that LG wants the watches back? I happen if know about at&t offering full refunds cause I follow forums like this one, but I haven't been notified yet, and Friday is my last day for a 14 day return.

Yeah I'm going on day 7 and have not gotten any notice from ATT. Even if I do get a notice, do I have to follow? Or can I opt to keep it? And if I keep it, ATT can't cut my service on it right?

Re: Watch release cancelled

I still got no notification from AT&T.

Me neither, problem with mind was that I received mine on the nineteenth, the day the news came out. I didn't try and activate it till the 21 st and by then I couldn't do it on line, when I took it into the ATT store they couldn't either. I had already decided to take it back and they were unsure why they couldn't activate it either. Assumption was that it got hung up some how in the cancelation. I sure loved the looks of that watch but I don't have the cash to take a chance that it would die and I would be stuck with something that no longer worked. They gave me a refund and I put it on the gear s2 which seems to be working great for me. I hope that those that decided to keep theirs have years of service with no problems for it is a great looking watch, of which I am envious of you. :)

I can't speak on whether or not everyone has been notified or not I work for the company and haven't received any notification other than what I see at work but your return date is concrete so if you plan on returning it I suggest you do it by the end of your 14 days.

I completely agree with your suggestion. Still wonder what happens if LG officially recalls product. I think at&t has to take them back, concrete policy or not.

Actually at that point I'm sure you'll be referred to LG. Like when the iPhone had the bad batteries on the 5 we referred everyone outside of their return period back to Apple

This! That's how recalls work. They go back to the manufacturer, not to the place you bought it from. You also usually have to wait for a mailed check as opposed to getting the money back on your card.

How is the screen on the Gear S2 vs the Watch Urbane Second Edition LTE; I really don't want to return mine but if it is a "unidentified hardware issue", I am not sure I want to take a chance. If they narrowed it down and explained what the hardware issue was, that would be different.

The display is better on the urbane 2. (Saw urbane in store. Currently have S2 3g). Saw something the issue was display but nothing official.

both have very nice displays. Very nice. I'd say the U2LTE's might be nicer cause it is larger. I'd say the S2's might be nicer cause of auto brightness.

I'm at the point I wish I hadn't returned my watch... I just don't like the S2 very much compared. I was totally loving the LG U2 LTE

Re: Watch release cancelled

I didn't like the S2 at all I went with the 2015 edition of the 360 after I returned my urbane. I really had no use for the lte one the urbane so I don't really miss it that much and I like the removable bands much more anyway.

Yeah, I thought the same thing, but someone will end up buying it, then find out about the recall and demand their money back and you will have to give them their money back. I thought about keeping mine but if the part that is problematic and it fails, well after they stop taking returns, you are kind of screwed.
