Just called 2 Gamestops & 1 Staples in my area.

1 Gamestop said he can't let them go out today.
1 Gamestop said he's releasing units to those who preordered but none extra for sale
1 Staples, the lady sounded pissy when I told her GS was beginning to release them and said she highly doubted that was true. ROFL!!

I ordered from Play and wish I'd hear something but I'm not gonna get all freaked out about it.

Its like going to the grocery store. Sometime you get in the right line, some times you dont. I didnt get in the right line this time either.

And while we're waiting in that line, the store charged us a $14 fee to stand there. Never thought I'd say "I wish I shopped at Gamestop."

I am east coast in ct I tried to call GameStop to verify that the text is real lol but nobody picked up sadly

I'm in CT too and my GS rarely answers their phone. I was actually surprised when someone picked up!

I agree. I'm happy everyone getting theirs today but Google f'd the dog on this. I know they can't match the efficiency of Apple or Amazon but this is not a good start. Yes, all will be forgotten and forgiven once we have our Nexus 7's in our hands but I won't be pre-ordering through the Play Store again. I know Google wants a retail presence but it shouldn't be at the expense of their own store.

Dealing with snot-nosed kids crying to their parents and holding up the line on top of the annoying greeting when I walk in the door. The Play Store shipping charge almost justifies not having to walk into a GS.

Yup I did too. I am going to leave for my errands right now so I should be back in an hour or so with it. Looks like that whole we ordered from google play so we get it first theory was only a myth. Sigh sucks. Anyway see ya in a few with some pics.

I pre-ordered from Google on 6/28. Just called local Gamestop and they were releasing theirs. They had some extras earlier but those are gone now. Not sure what the point is o nthe pre-order through Play in the future...

I just noticed that while my actual order info says July 2, on the list of transactions at the Play Store it says July 3. I really hope all the folks that order in June get their tracking numbers soon. This is my first pre-order ever and I doubt I'll be doing it again, at least not directly from Google. Who knows... BLAH... Lol.

I just spoke to a CS rep at the Play Store and he indicated there should be some news released today. I am hoping that its the tracking label and the update from Google saying its shipped.
He did mention the Play Store preorders should be receiving deliveries first. I hope its true. If this has already been posted please excuse me.

If you didn't Pre Order any where, check out your local Wal-Mart. Got a call from a friend that works in the local one, here and the N7 is on the shelves. Don't know if it's all W-M's, the one here jumps to soon sometime.

Opps its early for me still I meant june 27 and june 28. I have pre ordered other things but I tend to do it from places I can pick them up from. But this makes me feel like the galaxy nexus phone with verizon. I think google just needs better communication with the people giving them money.

I am hoping they make up for the lack of communication with some extra free content not mentioned
