I woke up and heard this bad news. Good for you those who ordered at GS, but if google don't make any amendments, I'll be super pissed. :mad: How could you do this? I have always been loyal to you guys!
 
My question is why did Google even ship ANY stock to 3rd party suppliers before shipping to customers who directly preordered from their new play store?? I'm fine with how the device said 3-4 weeks when I originally preordered, but why could they ship to suppliers and NOT ship to customers then???

I think this is a fair question.
 
I imagine they will start with the 16GBs soon.. and I bet there will probably be a good bit more 16GB that were ordered vs the 8GBs
 
BTW, pending charge appeared in my CC. But this means I'll get it by next week. :(
shame on you google, you charged us for shipping and this is what you repay us?

I haven't heard anything on my 16gb one. I ordered on the 2nd. A guy I work with that ordered his 8gb on the 6th and he just got charged and its getting ready to ship.

I'd say that Asus does the shipments and for whatever reason they shipped to third party resellers first.

And I ordered the 16 GB on 6/27 in the first few hours orders were open and I have seen no new activity.
 
I got charged for my 8gb ordered 7/30 at 1 AM. Full price including shipping - not even throwing us a bone there. So, that would put delivery at Tuesday most likely, 4 days after GameStop pre-orders.

I'm not cancelling or getting one somewhere else, but it will be VERY long time before I buy something from play.google.com again. Once the $25 credit is gone, that's it.

Simple. ASUS screwed up. Google does not touch their device; ASUS does. They do shipping and handling so they coordinated to send devices to retailers, yet they failed to coordinate shipping for PS pre-order people.

Now I hate ASUS shipping & handling dept and google's coordination:mad:
 
No, in the play store when you see "order status". It has been on pending for us because the CC didn't go through the first time (entered wrong EXP date). So I do see some activity on our play account, wallet shows no sign of any changes at the moment.

Hope that makes sense. Google Play/Wallet is all new to me. :)

To those telling us to get a life, calm down and just wait: Let’s say you call a restaurant and make dinner reservations for a week from Sunday. The restaurant charges you a $14 convenience fee which you gladly pay because you’ll be guaranteed a table right when you walk in. You get all dressed up and go to the restaurant but when you arrive you have to stand around waiting for an hour and twenty other couples are already eating. Then you find out those couples made their reservation with Open Table for free a few days after you did! To make matters worse, you didn’t find this out from the restaurant itself, you had to hear it from some guy leaving the bar. Would you be particularly happy about that? Sure, you’re going to eat, but that doesn’t mean you were treated fairly. :)

Exactly, Exactly, EXACTLY!!

The reason those of us who pre-ordered have a legitimate right to complain is because we paid an extra fee (shipping cost) with no benefit when there was an implicit expectation that of receiving a benefit from pre-ordering from Google....I mean that's what pre-ordering is all about.

I really love how Google screws their customers and then when they get fed up and decide to not give them their business Google decides to hold their money hostage. I can't cancel my order before I've been charged for it and I also can't get my money back until they get the package back and decide to process my return. That is a great way to keep loyal customers! I am just skipping this piece of garbage and sticking to my iPad.

How are the people who have the tablets liking it so far? Any complaints with the tablet itself? I'm getting more and more excited as the days go by!

And I also pre ordered the 16gb from the play store. Assuming the 8gb ones are still being processed to go out first, but has any of us with the 16gb have any luck?
