This must be a great marketing scheme by Google. Look at all the buzz due to the anticipated shipment dates.
I kind of doubt it. I ventured out into the real world today and didnt hear a single person talking about the N7 release. This is a bubble.
I ordered on the 27th from the play store... I just want my N7 before it becomes available to the retail stores. Especially considering I had to pay for shipping
I'm gonna send the wife off to watch Magic Mike w/ her girl friends. I'll have a few beers & be ready when she gets back.![]()

Agreed. I'm the only person in my office that I know of excited about this release, and I work in IT! But that could also be due to the fact that I live on an island ...
This thread reminds me of camping out at Game Stop to get Halo: Reach. The waiting in line was unbearable.
at least you knew how long you had to wait
Im excited too, but not obsessive. I just dont buy into any theory that Google has some other motive other than they want this launch to go well. Loose lips sink ships.Agreed. Just a tad bit. Ive heard some mainstream reporting on the N7, including a mention on the WSJ This morning radio show. But Ive heard nothing about dates other than here in this thread or on AC. When Apple releases a new product, its hard for the whole world to not know about the release or the specific date. All I am saying is, while we are excited about this, it will go unnoticed in the rest of the world.Three people in my office pre-ordered from Google Play, but I work in a network control center so that skews data a bit.
