Man that price is hefty, hefty, hefty. I'd still buy 4 though.
*Cue impatient millionaire inquiring about a Nexus 7 tablet and dropping a cool hundred grand right on the table, much to the bewilderment of the employee*

Wow, so I just spoke to a friend of mine who works at Game Stop and she said they already have a shipment in the store, but no release date as of yet. I got my pre-order from Google on June 29th and still waiting (in Texas). I told her to please txt me as soon as she is notified of a release date. She also mentioned that her supervisor had taken one out of the box and was showing to the staff.
I do think the canceled orders can be a valid delay. I really don't think the guy was trying to lie to me as he was way more informative than the other csr. He said that they should start shipping out and be ready by mid next week which is what the other guy told me. He said the only hold up was their understaffed returns department.
Imagine the logistics. You have 500,000 shipments sitting in various UPS warehouses all over the US, and 10,000 got canceled. You have to find all of those and account for them so that people aren't getting shipped tablets they didn't pay for, or whatever the case may be.
You try to find 10,000 tablets in a day from the correct warehouses. (This is all just speculation though). I'm an engineer, we like to play with numbers.![]()
I don't think anything even remotely in the field of 10,000 orders got cancelled though. There are a few vocal people freaking out, but I don't think very many people are really cancelling their orders over it.
A CSR that likes to talk doesn't necessarily mean he's informative.
Well just my opinion anyway.![]()
