Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

The October 11th event should start by lowering down the lights, and playing "The Prime Time of Your Life" by Daft Punk, and then someone walks out on stage with the Prime in their hands, that would be completely awesome.

Im thinking "eye of the tiger"

I'm stoked for the Prime and ICS, but I would advise us all to keep our expectations in check. We are all getting our lulz at Apple fans for getting all stoked about an iPhone 5 and how world changing it would be, only to get the 4S. We do NOT want to look like them next week, singing the praises of the Prime and ICS, only to be a little underwhelmed. At which point Apple trolls will stomp in saying, "LOL, THAT'S IT? GLAD I AM GETTING THE 4S!"

Not that I expect to be underwhelmed. Rather, I personally am just going to sit on my hands until I hear the info myself. Speculating is fun. But counting on ICS being the end-all of the mobile OS world could lead to sad pandas.

All in all I prefer a Galaxy S2 to iphone 4S, so ice cream can't be disappointing.

Im not worried about that. For a few reasons.

1. Were waiting for a nexus, every nexus has been amazing in specs. No NexusOneS or refreshes lol

2. Were waiting on a New OS. Stock Android OS's have always been great

I trust Google alot more than Apple.

Feared my post might be a little misconstrued. I know everything that is happening next Tuesday will be a Winsauce Volcano. I personally just have to fight to keep my expectations in check, because I don't like to be even the slightest bit disappointed.

Sadly I'm beginning to think that the photo "leaked" by GSM Arena is a fake. After reading another thread on Android Central as well as snooping BMX on twitter I had to come to that conclusion. :'(

The attached file was posted in another thread about the leaked photo and I feel as it proves that the picture was photoshopped. If you look at the attached file it shows the letters are overlapping the bezel of the screen.

Lastly If you read these tweets between BMX and BritishTurbo I came to the conclusion that its fake... I hope I'm wrong because I have been dying for a picture of the prime.

Tell me what you guys think. I just want a legitimate leaked picture. Maybe this one is and I'm completely wrong. I guess we will know in a week!

BMXs tweet makes no sense to me...as far as the text goes...you have to take into account that it is low picture quality and that the light from the screen might seem off due to reflection or pixel bleeding...from looking at what other people have been saying, they thought it was photoshopped at first...but opened it in ps and said that they couldnt find anything the put up a red flag

I have never seen a amoled screen show blacks like that. So just from that I would guess fake if the prime indeed is a super amoled screen.

Im going to guess that Google put that as a different shade of grey...because if you look at the full picture, the navigation bar looks almost as black as the body...and Google probably wanted there to be a differentiation between the navigation bar and the menu

Www

That would make sense. It just didn't look like a amoled screen. But who knows, the quality of the picture wasn't so good, so it is hard to tell.

First Glimpse Of The Samsung Nexus Prime Revealed [Video]
I really don't know if i can sleep anymore... This phone looks simply beautiful. If it is an all metal design like it appears to be and is that curved, I am looking at the most beautiful phone ever. To think that when I saw the IPhone 4's design 18 months ago I thought beauty and great materials would never come to android. I am honestly more excited & teased than I have been in a long long time. I feel like I did when I was about to lose my virginity. Pathetic I know... BUT LOOK AT THOSE CURVES!!

WoW... That looked amazing. Led lights on the side. Super..super thin. Curve is sexy as hell. That side view has really upped my expectations on this phone.

edit: seems that those are pins for docking on the side and not led lights.

Uggghhh!!! I wish they would hurry up already!!! I got an upgrade burning a hole in my pocket!

I didn't know where to ask, but does anyone know if there are any speculations that point to the nexus prime having both cdma/gsm in one unit? I travel a lot and have verizon, so I would absolutely love that

It's the tech version of the Holy Grail. I haven't seen any worldphone speculation in several months, but now that the iPhone has that capability, perhaps a followup model of the Prime will have it.
