Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

reading the benchmark from anandtech OMAP4460+SGX540 is also faster than Exynos 1.5GHz.
they compared the Exynos 1.5GHz with the OMAP4430 1GHz and there is no big difference in performance so the 4460 should be faster. In any case we will not lack performance.

Where are you seeing these? There are no benchmarks for Exynos at 1.5GHz nor OMAP4460, since no phones have been released with those SoCs.

No I'm wrong.
That tests showed the single core version.

The OMAP4430/SGX540 is more powerful when compared to the Exynos/Adreno built in Galaxy S2.
So the OMAP4460/SGX540 will be blazingly faster than Galaxy S2 with its exynos cpu.

Oh my friend, I just realized you used a screen shot of a article almost a year old with irrelevant chips. Sorry I took your word. I am a bad reader some times (fact.)

Do you have current info on the current chips. I think you may be surprised.

Hopefully Verizon actually markets it. Someone walks into a Verizon store and all they want to do it sell you a crapware filled DROID.

I'm still thinking when it releases to VZW, it will have GB and not be a nexus. I'm betting it will run touchwiz and be released as the charge2, then release as the nexus for all other carriers. I figure it's because VZW passed up on the GS2 and it went to the other carriers. TW doesn't really bother me, i'd still buy it, if not the moto spyder.

Not sure...if serious.

I dont care if the 1.2GHz 4460 is faster than the Exynos 1.2GHz or not as long as it's around the same speed. What I do however care about is if they decreased power consumption which I would assume they did considering they stayed with the same clock speed.

I don't understand why people are shrieking about a small bin in CPU clock, which might affect a couple milliseconds loading anything. Don't miss it, ANY of the OMAP4 CPUs are stinking fast.

People will complain about the smallest spec differences BEFORE they own a phone.. but AFTER you own it, you'll be willing to give all those specs back for better battery life.

Im a on-the-side tech geek, but isnt the 4460 better power management, etc? So we want a 4460 over 4430 for that? Seems like 1.2 is plenty, and I have to agree....

Someone from another forums says:
"Hah bgr, go read about their iPhone 5 trusted source posts. Ill wait until next week before getting excited or the opposite. Unless I see something truely leaked before then anything that states specs etc is for page hits. "

It seems that BGR haven't got a good reputation for leaks :D

I followed you until "VZW passed up on the GS2." That doesn't make any logical sense.

VZW chose not to carry the GS2 when all the other carriers are carrying it. Which part doesn't make sense? Do you see a Galaxy S2 on Verizon?

It makes sense that Verizon would pass on the GS2 knowing that they had the Nexus locked down for an exclusive. If I recall six months or so T-Mobile was the only carrier that didn't have the GS2 in their line up and Verizon did then there was a swap. I imagine this was due to Verizon nabbing this exclusive and T-Mobile needing something for the holidays. I would expect a 90 day exclusivity and then a roll out to the other carriers.

It's painful when I have to explain something that should be easy to comprehend by reading. Serial Fordicator argued that the phone is going to be called Droid Charge 2/run touchwiz because Verizon passed on the GS2. That doesn't make sense.

If anything, I would think it suggests the opposite. Why pass on the GSII if you aren't getting something substantially better? (ICS, Nexus...)
