The public bought the og droid because there were no iphones on vzw Lmao. You think everyone roots their phones? Droid was vzw answer to the iPhone. If skins don't matter, why does some droid phones outsell different droid phones with similar hardware and different skins. Lmao the majority of droid owners don't even know what a ui is.
Oh how I love keyboard killers. Instead of trying to push everyone down to lift yourself up as every post you make shows, can't anyone but you have an opinion? This is all speculation...about a cell phone of all things. The sun will rise tomorrow.

Not in my opinion. The public loves the skins. The forum dwellers here do not. Vanilla Android still lacks many simple basic things that some skins do a great job of providing. And vanilla is boring and somewhat uninspired IMO. I am hopeful that will change with ICS, but not betting on it.
Yeah, I keep thinking I want a vanilla phone, but then I see the Nexus S with Gingerbread and think "ehh that seems kind of boring" now that I'm used to Sense. Even TouchWiz on some of these new phones like the SGS II actually looks pretty nice. Played with my friend's Bionic. Still not into BLUR (or whatever it's called now). Maybe it was just the pentile display though
Its a Google + Samsung event to unveil the new version of Android. Google isn't going to showcase Ice Cream Sandwich with a Touchwiz overlay. Of course, you are certainly entitled to your opinion but I just don't see that happening.
This, the fact that it even has Nexus in the name should be a big hint. This'll be a stock phone, esp since it'll be the first phone to showcase ICS to the world.
Doesn't mean I wouldn't mind a little TW 4 love but oh well..stock ICS will do.

You are most probably correct and I am quite possibly wrong. I just am not certain if it will be an event for other carriers with nexus or all carriers.
Care to elaborate? It's easy to tell someone they are wrong without a reason why.
Yes I am aware, but I don't see how I stir the pot? I don't post on here often, but it bothers me when I feel people put down other people behind the safety of their own computer when, in most cases, it wouldn't be said if they were eye to eye. However, posting on the internet is tricky anyway, it's very hard to understand what a person's meaning or tone is and things get taken out of context and blown out of proportion.
That is an opinion and it doesn't change my argument. There aren't many vanilla choices so gauging by sales isn't really relevant. Most of the public doesn't know what a skin is.. they think that is pure android.
