Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

Black friday is the day after thanksgiving and the biggest shopping day of the year.

Sounds incredible!
i wish it had a 5 inch screen like the Dell Streak, but 4.6 is still big.
but damn i just recently bought the Nexus S ):
i dont want to be off topic, but does anyone know if the Nexus S will get ICS?

All hardware rumors are just that, rumors at this point. No one even knows who is making it. Personally, I think 4.6 would be too big, but I guess i'll see how the body of the phone is before passing judgement on screen size. Nexus S will get iCS

Word on the street is that it is still the 4.3" body but without the physical buttons on the bottom so it opens more screen real estate for the 4.6 and they pushed it more towards the edges.

Yes, I know, but it is all speculation. There is no solid info out there right now. A few people here keep referring to the BGR article. That is about the furthest thing from a solid rumor possible.

That being said, I could definitely see the screen push in 4.6, but I don't think that the physical dimensions of the phone will increase beyond the Nexus now. Or I hope not at least. I love that the Nexus is speak compared to all the other bricks out there.

Droid Life posted a new photo of the Bionic and is going with an early september release.

If the Bionic does not release in early august, I will hold onto my TB and wait for the Prime. I would love to have a high end superphone on Big Red with vanilla android!

How would the no hardware buttons work? What happens if the OS crashes and the software buttons don't work anymore..

I hate browsing boards: Makes me always wait. I was perfectly happy with the GalaxyS2, but now, after hearing this...I THINK I can wait out until October...

On the Incredible, the soft capacitive buttons don't work on the bootloader/recovery screen. You just use the volume up/down buttons to navigate and the power button to select. Works fine that way.

Maybe it's already been said, but the recent "focus group" docs Phil posted HERE in the Bionic Forum seem a lot more on point with this device than the Bionic or even the SGS II (which I maintain will be a 3G-only device). The documents seem to harp on packing maximum power into every bit of space the device has. To me, that means less wasted space (no hard buttons/larger screen, what have you). Am I dreaming? YMMV,

Bryan

EDIT: I stand corrected! Great, so now what? I was all set to dump my DInc2 for the Bionic, but damn Samsung's phones are sexy.

I agree. I can hold out until October/November, what's a few more months???

Flashing Cyanogen on my Incredible gave it new life... I can easily hold out until October/November for the new Nexus, even if my upgrade is burning a hole through my pocket.

Didn't the Within just clear the FCC with a 4g radio?

I am a strong believer that if you wait for the next latest and greatest you will never get it. I like being an early adopter and getting new stuff as they come out and would have for the Bionic. But with news of the Bionic maybe going out to September and the Prime...and now the Vigor, i'm just going to have to suffer a little longer!

Yup thats where I am. Have to keep this Storm 2 alive until Oct. and if that doesn't pan out then we will go from there.
