Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

Ok so is Verizon getting the NEXUS Prime or are they getting a stock ics phone similar to the og droid?
I hope they get the Nexus, I've been waiting for a Nexus on Verizon since the Nexus One.

No one actually knows. All we have are rumors, rumors, and rumors. We are going to have to wait and see.

Yes I know, all we have are rumors and speculation. I just wanted to know what those rumors were pointing to a Nexus or a phone similar to the OG DROID and the XOOM.

Phil has said that his trusted source told him that it would definitely launch on Verizon. Others have said that it will indeed launch on Verizon as well, P3droid and BMX have said that it will launch on Verizon as well. While there is no definite answer that says that it will definitely launch on Big Red all signs are showing that it will. Only time will truly tell.

Decided not bionic or D3 for you? I am also waiting to see if I can find out more info about the Nexus but from what I gathered only the top brass has high level info on this.

Yeah, I decided that they were not for me. I am still holding out for word on the Nexus and see where that leads. There is also the forth coming Droid HD. See what happens. A Nexus device on Big Red sounds really enticing to me.

The rumors on that are kind of muddled right now. Last thing I heard was a Droid Prime on Verizon, so it may be pointing to a phone similar to the OG Droid.

I think a 4.5" or larger screen is going to be great on a nexus. ICS will unify honeycomb and gingerbread giving us one os again. Some hd tab Apps will look great on this phone.

Also bmx tweeted that xoom owners will be very happy when the prime launches, suggesting it will be the first tablet to get 4.0

Xoom also was a Verizon exclusive for a while.

The Nexus One was on Google's website saying coming to Verizon Soon. Let's not forget that as we wait for November and again end up with a version of the Nexus like we did the 1st time. I do not want a version of the Nexus, I want THE Nexus. I am on Verizon, got the Droid Bionic and am sending it back today, and hanging on to my X2 until a phone comes out that I can see carrying for a 2 year contract.

Getting a Droid Prime is not the same as getting a Nexus Prime. Remember the Nexus One and the Incredible.....

You know the prime will be on verizon with bmx working on Verizon's lte network and then going to work at Google. Lte nexus on verizon.
He also hinted at a new name for the device....

Switched from iOS to Android (was my #1 priority) and got the Bionic. I like it, don't love it. The idea of a 4.5"+ screen really entices me along with a more vanilla phone. I'm just not sure if I should return the Bionic and wait on the Prime or not. I'd be a little disappointed to return my Bionic just to wait a few months for a bloated device running Touchwiz.

If I was a betting man, I would bet we do not hear much new info until next Thursday. Have to let Verizon get the customers who purchased the Bionic stuck in a two year contract.

You can always get the Bionic after the Prime comes out. But keep the Bionic and you will have to pay retail if you want the Prime if you keep the Bionic.

Forget paying full retail for both the Bionic and Prime. I'm still sucking down juice thru my Droid 2. Yeah, it's working fine. Must. Wait. For. One. Or. Two. Months. Ack. The Agony.

It's all worth it for an Mini-Tablet though...maybe we should shorten the Mini-Tablet name to MiniTabs...or MT's.

Probably best to save your money. I can only assume with the Super AMOLED Plus HD display and the LTE chip, full off contract price will cost no less than $600
