Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

there's a new GS2 slider phone out in the wild, and i wonder if this is the Prime slider the Panda/Tom Fleming was talking about??

Samsung Galaxy S Glide coming to Rogers | MobileSyrup.com

now, we at least have a device to plug into the speculation that the Droid Prime might be a pkb/slider phone separate and apart from the Nexus device.

That's one good looking slider. But no, it's just a GSII made to commindate the carrier's needs.

I doubt its even a GS2.. I think the article incorrectly states it as a dual core, but even if it IS a dual core, its probably a Snapdragon.. not Exynos..

And it still has capacitive buttons, which we "know" the nexus won't have with ICS. Screen looks only about 4" too. Just an estimate but doesn't look that big

Well a dont really "know" the Prime is button less. Personally, I think they were referring to tablets when they said they have a choixe of having buttons or no buttons. Google seems to moving towards that looking at their latest apps with how you can just navigate and search without any buttons except home.

Damn... Maybe this is why we have been hearing rumors stating that the Galaxy Nexus/ Prime would have an Exynos instead. I wouldn't mind the substitution at all. I've heard nothing but positive things about the Exynos. I just hope that ICS would be optimized for it but I couldn't imagine google not doing so...

If this thing comes with 1.2 ghz I'm just waiting for quad cores, and I'll probably die of impatience before that day comes.

Can someone explain the difference between Exynos and OMAP 4 and which one is better? Also, is SGX 540 better than Mali-400?

I still question how much this will actually effect the Samsung Galaxy Nexus being that this phone has been in the works for close to a year. I would guess that TI has been ready for the Nexus but possibly not ready for the demand of others. It may have a greater effect on others that want to use this particular OMAP, such as the tablet mentioned. Food for thought.
