Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

Yeah, why move a huge event like the unveiling to a Hong Kong. Something smells fishy here....and its not me. I'm a Nexus Prime Whore, not a generic, everyday, run of the mill type of whore.

Doesn't sound fishy to me at all. What does it matter where they unveil it? I'm sure it will be sold outside the US also. Everyone needs to remember, as much as we are I to this stuff, the vast majority of the population is not. This really isn't a huge event. For us it may be, but we are an extremely small minority.

Fishy????? Isn't the codename TUNA????????

Now it all makes sense lol

It doesn't matter where the announcement is because there are going to be talking about ICS. I doubt the announcement gives specifics about the release other than "coming soon." Google is going to spend their time discussing the new operating system.

I'd agree if and only if Samsung wasn't coming. However Samsung will be there too. It seems kind of like a waste for Samsung to come to a Google event unless they were bringing something to show too...

Just because the Verizon device isnt a "world" phone doesnt mean there will not be a global nexus device. This device is the showcase for ICS and alot of devs would get upset if there was not a GSM based device to code for..

I completely agree with that logic, even though I have no inside info on the subject. I'm just pointing to the specific rumors about the Verizon version being a world phone, and whether that screenshot is necessarily a Verizon system shot.

Ill honestly probably be buying both anyhow. I plan on travelling a fair amount in the next year or two. Im pretty much stuck on Verizon where i live now as no other carrier covers the rural area in which i live. Sprint i was on 1x, Att edge, and T mobile booted me for roaming on Att too much, haha.

It's the same device manager as seen with the other previous Verizon leaks.

According to that it's not a global phone. That's probably confirmation that it's on verizon, but it's also disappointing for some.
Very much so. Heaven forbid I be able to use the same phone when I'm away from Verizon. I'll be so happy when CDMA is dead.
