Verizon: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

So, for people ordering today, are they shipping and if so what is delivery timeline looking like. I want to get a phone with a better battery life than my iPhone 7+ before I go on vacation middle of next week and it is either order this and hope I get it or picking up an s8+ or Moto z2 force in store this week

The local Verizon retail store that ordered my phone tells me that they now have it, but can't release it until their district manager authorizes it. They claim that they probably won't be able to release it to me until the 15th.

I've spoken to VZW reps on the phone(having issues with Costco giving it to me more that it's in) and they can't believe Costco wouldn't give it to me. They've even called Costco to try to release for me.

I'm sure if you call VZW cus srvc they'll help you with the VZW store

All of these "I can't believe FedEx came so early posts"...Why can't mine come earlier than expected!!!??? They usually don't come until about 2-5 my time(Arizona Time). Oh well I guess, I just need to be happy that I am getting it today! Just in case I am sitting in my kitchen at the table waiting for them to show up as our doorbell is finicky and sometimes doesn't work when the button is pushed. If I missed out because of that I would take a hammer to it. hahaha

I'm in the same boat. Sitting in my living room with the front door open. Looking out the window hoping to see a fed ex truck.

I also am checking my tracing number every 30 minutes. I have this fear that fed-ex is going to try to deliver it to the wrong address.

Update on my Note 8. I pre-ordered the Note 8 on Saturday, Sep 2 from my local Verizon store and took advantage of the 50% off promotion. My Note 8 is being shipped via UPS and is currently sitting in Memphis, TN. Expected delivery is Thursday, Sep 7. I cant wait!

Just got mine. So how does the return work for my Note 5? I guess I will receive something to return my phone and how long do I have. I don't have a case or screen protector yet for the 8 as I just ordered them and they won't arrive for 2 days and want to make sure it is all protected before I use it.

I'm waiting on my trade in return box as well. They told me I have 15 days to return my trade in once I get my note 8. However, like I said it looks like my return box has not even shipped out to me yet. I guess I will be giving them a call sometime today. They also told me that I can not turn in my trade in to a local store. But yea, I think you have 15 days to return your trade in.

Edit: To be more specific on the process...they send you a small box with a pre-paid label to send it back to them. Just make sure (if you have an iPhone) that find my iPhone is disabled and that you have completely erased all of your personal stuff.

Edit 2: Does anyone know if we have to return everything that our trade in came with when new? Example: charger, sync cord, etc.?
