Has anyone else having trouble activating their note8?

I did at first, then I went online to activate instead of just doing it from the phone.

Got both of ours but for some reason Verizon tech support says our Sims card won't activate till midnight of the 5th I kept explaining to them the 5th of midnight already occurred but now want me to wait till tomorrow at 7am when tech support is back to help in case there is a problem. Dam I hate these dam companies.

Yes I had trouble with mine. I went to to the Verizon site and to my devices and activated there and it went through. It wouldn't activate from just starting the phone for me.

Guys, remember to download Shop Samsung app to get the free accessories. The app will recognize your device and will offer you two choices. The wireless charger and the SD card or 360 camera.

Let us know if the app works as promised.

I got email this morning from verizon saying thank you for activating new phone when I hadn't gotten it til a little bit ago. And when I go to my devices it show note8 and number but don't have an option to activate so guess I'm going to have to call

The way I got it to work was from this link, under question 2, I clicked this link - Activate, Switch or Bring Your Own Device - And it showed that I had a phone waiting for activation.

I always charge to full beforehand. there might be updates etc.

When I get mine I'm go on g to charge it to full before I turn it on.

it is here. updating the phone now. so far so good. Waiting for my case and screen protector. so leaving the plastic that came with the phone o . both should be here today also.

I'm waiting for mine to come. Took the afternoon off seeing as though I have to sign for it.

FWIW I left a signed note to leave mine and FEDEX did because it was shipped with "Indirect" Signature Required.

mine arrived around noon although the excitement of getting it today has worn off just a little as I'm worried about will the hurricane affect my vacation plans 10 days from now

Hopefully when I get home and the box is sitting there that will get me a little more excited

I had trouble. I had to go to my Verizon account on my computer and do the activate new device steps three times. And also restarted my Note each time I tried. On the third attempt it worked.

I had to call from another phone. A bit of a head scratcher in having to do this. In a few years the phones should be able to unbox and activate themselves.

I understand how you feel. I live in Texas and my flight was scheduled for late afternoon the day Hurricane Harvey hit here. My flight, and then everything was canceled. I can't get another vacation now until this Winter. Hopefully I will be able to go skiing. But even though my vacation was off, I only had minor storm damage. Most people have lost everything. It's all a matter of perspective. Good luck to you! (I did just get my new Note, just now! Happy about that!)

FedEx box was a little banged up but phone box was fine, got it charging so when I get back from dinner it can get screen protectors and go in the spigen case before setup

I also had to call Verizon. Signal strength at my house is terrible. Usually 1 bar or less.
