Verizon: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

woke up this morning to the text message that said my order which was placed on 8/31(preordered 8/24 @ 1230am) is processing and I'll receive another text message when it ships

And I can tell they've charged my credit card as I got the email from my credit card company this morning notify me of a pending charge from Verizon

My card was charged as well, and I just got a text stating it has been shipped! It should be coming via FedEx on Tuesday

I've been with Verizon since it was Cellular One and I had a bag phone. And always been a big supporter of Verizon. Call me slow, but it just hit me last night that I feel sort of bamboozled by big Red.
Other carriers are supposedly shipping out today or tomorrow. Not us, gotta wait till the 15th.
I read where T-Mobile is about to offer 2 for 1 Note 8 if you add a line.
Not VZW.
Best Buy is selling the same unit, with the same freebies, for 150 less than VZW.
My note 4 works fine.
Idk. I've reached the age where practicality and principles come into play.
My phone works fine and they're jacking us around while other carriers are seemingly more concerned about their customers satisfaction.
I was playing with a Note 8 in Best Buy last night and my Note 4 does essentially the same thing. And has an IR blaster.
Idk. I'll make my mind up this weekend. They said I could cancel as long as it hadn't shipped yet.
So, I've still got 2 weeks to cancel I reckon.
See what happens when they give us too much time to rethink and compare?

Now the question is will you see any movement on the package tonight to see if it will be delivered actually by Tuesday...

The thing I didn't understand what the whole Samsung release is 3 weeks between announcement and launch you would think with the V 30 just being announced and the new iPhone right around the corner Samsung would want to get the note 8 into the hands of people before people spend their money on those other phones

A plus is that it says picked up by FedEx, and not just Shipment information sent to FedEx. But we shall see. I'll be so happy if it comes, it'll be an early birthday present.

I'm starting to get excited, maybe we will get them early. I personally still don't expect it until the 14th buuuut like I said, maybe all these notices will be an indication that they are coming! It didn't stop me from setting up a FedEx account to monitor any shipments coming to my house! haha

As long as everyone keeps calm and remembers release date is not til September 14th. This is the same way the note 7 went, but the shipments had future delivery dates and they sat at the shipper yards. Just wanting to prepare everyone for that possibility, hopefully we don't go thru that again.

Just got confirmation text saying my order has shipped with tracking number. Checked tracking and it's in pa(I'm in CT), and scheduled for delivery Tuesday!

I see that Verizon's debited my account for, presumably, the taxes/fees due on my Note8. I/ve seen merchants do this in 'sounding' my account then the charge disappears after a day or so.

mine just changed to shipped and picked up by FedEx and delivery is showing Tuesday by 3pm!

Usually when this happens we get the texts and it sits.... But that's for 3 or 4 days tops. This is 2 weeks! I think we're getting it early.

My order changed from "Processing" to "Complete" in my Verizon account. I haven't received any information so I opened a chat and was told it is not scheduled to ship until the 14th, so no shipping information is available.

I hope this is just a very uninformed rep with know idea what he was talking about (that's not really outside the realm of possibilities).

I got the text last night then shipping text this am. Last year it said that it was shipping and it sat, but it had a delivery date way out. Today my tracking shows delivery by 4:30 pm for 9/5. I'd expect most early preorders will receive it next week

I just received an email from Verizon saying mine has shipped. I checked the Fedex tracking number on Fedex site, and it reports that it was picked up this morning and will be delivered Tuesday. My VZW order status shows order complete and has that same tracking number.

I got the notification as well but i'm not getting my hopes up. Besides my skins haven't shown up yet and I doubt they get here by Tuesday. For me this would mean I could prep it and install everything for the changeover but I wouldn't go live with it until my protection arrives. So in my mind its still arriving on the 15th I'm not even going to track it. (maybe)

$7 case and $5 dollar screen protector, I'm not waiting for my skin to arrive to use it. I'll take off the shield and case when my skin comes in lol
