Verizon: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

yes mine is already at the Baltimore depot! too bad I can't go pick it up now! this is worse than wait for Christmas morning

I didnt think FedEx would want to take the risk of 1000s of 1000 dollar phones sitting in their warehouses for 10 days too much liability.

I'm expecting mine to be delivered on Tuesday. It left Memphis this afternoon and arrived in Tampa about 20 minutes ago. It's now about an hour away. I've seen on here and a few other places that Verizon has confirmed Tuesday delivery.

My tracking shows it was in Pa., moved to Newark, NJ, and has now arrived in Los Angeles!!!

I'm going to go with those peeps who believe Tues. will be the big day! (that's what the tracking info says, as well... delivery Sept. 5 by 8PM)

I can NOT wait!

Mine shows delivery here in detroit MI tues by 8. Went from Coatesville PA now in Newark NJ.

Well mine is now in Memphis. 1.5 hours from me.
We're leaving Monday for a week.
And it'll be delivered Tuesday.
I hate Verizons planning people.

I didn't die today because I didn't get the Note 8 yet. And I probably won't die tomorrow either. If I die before I get the Note 8, I will have saved some serious money! (helps pay for my funeral). That being said.. I WANT IT NOW! LOL. Best of luck to all of us serious techies!!

Ordered Note 8 in orchid gray. I received an email yesterday from Verizon and FedEx saying it shipped and stated a delivery of 9/5. Tracking showed origin in PA and scanned in Memphis, TN. This evening I received the following email.

I'm in central Oregon and my tracking info shows arrived in Portland this afternoon. Still shows arriving Tues, the 5th. Not sure if it'll get down here tomorrow, but with holiday Mon I'm almost certain it won't move then. So if not tomorrow, then Tues I assume.

Verizon doesn't own the warehouses that are used for preorders. Our phones are kept in a leased warehouse that changes based on the price tag. The warehouses are run by a separate company, and the only thing that Verizon does is set dates and times. Workers do the rest. Also when they create labels, those labels just go on boxes until Verizon tells FedEx to come get the packages, much like you'd do if you ordered a package pickup. Most warehouses just are conveniently located near each other, the same as gas stations often are, to be close enough for location to not be a factor in the bid for a customer.

Yes, when it says label created it's at the warehouse, once it says picked up it's in fed ex hands. Last year fed ex had the note 7 phones with future delivery dates and stored them. The same thing could be happening now, but i doubt it since Verizon is upgrading shipping speeds to overnight. Future deliveries would be no reason to upgrade the shipping speed.

I was only staying facts as I have a very close friend that works for one of the warehouse companies. But yes, FedEx will pickup and hold a package for any customer for future delivery. The fact that my phone has been from Pa, to Nj, and now just arrived at my local hub with delivery for 9/5, I'm willing to put money on an early delivery, aside from Verizon publicly announcing it. Typically FedEx will put the date they're told or able to deliver on, on their site. Which is why in the past there has been a difference between Verizon's projected delivery and FedEx's. Really unsure why people are doubting it lol

Because they didn't pre-order and they're wicked jealous. Ha

I'm just saying this exact same thing happened with the note 7, those phones got as close to people as their local hub and sat there for 2 weeks.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I think we pretty much agree that this time around it appears the shipments are actually being delivered early. We are good

I pre-ordered the Note 7 last year. My phone NEVER left Memphis for almost 2 weeks. It would show left Memphis then within an hour it would say arrived Memphis. When my phone got to the DenverColorado hub, I got my Note 7 THE VERY NEXT DAY! I don't recall of it was Wednesday or Thursday though. But I got mine the same day people started posting they got their Note 7.

So this is NOT the same as last year. And with Verizon PUBLICLY saying they ARE coming VERY EARLY, I think Tuesday is the day.

Also, Samsung may have okayed this as the iCraple 8 is due to be unveiled the 12th. So if they stood by the 15th release people may cancel the Note 8 for the iCraple 8. Don't understand why though, it's a iCraple!!!!

OK I'm going to get a little excited, even though it was 102 for the past two days and Tuesday is till two days away.

My Spigen clear case and screen protector came last week via Amazon. I've currently got a VRS case on my S7Edge that I really like so I've got one of those coming tomorrow.

My EasyAcc Note8 case arrived yesterday, waiting now for my screen protector to arrive, then the Note8 is scheduled to arrive 9/14.....
