I'm wondering this as well. Mine ends in U. I've heard that other VZW folks don't have the stock 'Device Maintenance' option under settings yet I do. Speculation that it was removed for the VZW version. Does anyone with a VZW Note have the model number end in a V?

I am Verizon and I have the device maintenance under settings.

Go into Settings the click the three dots in the upper left side of the screen. Then select "Simplified List". Then you will see Device Maintenance.

I had heard rumors of shipping delays. But glad to hear people are getting them.

Preordered mine on the 24th at 5 am. Received it via UPS on Thursday 3 days ago. Love it. I'm on another carrier.

Yes, gratifyingly swift. My 360 Camera is in Indiana with no scheduled delivery date but it's definitely on its way.

Another pre-order has come and gone. I'm nostalgic for the anticipation which was so thick in here last week as to have been able to cut with a blade-server. At any rate, the Note8 is an amazing smartphone. Runs/charges cool and performance is second to none. With the wide field of view camera even photos of ordinary situations/scenes are eye-poppingly filled with sharp detail. I've found nothing disappointing in the Note8. I hope that everyone is enjoying theirs or will soon be.

I have a "u" model and can't find device maintenance under my settings? On vzw as well.

My s8+ ends in a U, so that means it's unlocked?

So with you guys using the always on display. When you want to unlock your phone, do you just have just the small square home button at the bottom?

It seems like it always takes a few tries to get my screen off AOD and where I can put my pin in to unlock it. Am I doing something wrong?

I turned that button off. I use the FPS to unlock my phone. All you have to do is touch the FPS and phone unlocks.

A hard press, if you will. Push it in until it clicks.

One other dumb question. Whenever I use my rear camera, I have the highest resolution selected. When I close the camera it automatically reverts back to 7.9m. Anything I'm doing wrong there? Some setting off?

Just noticed it reverts back when I move to full view on the camera. When it has the smaller screen to take the picture, it stays 12m.
