Verizon: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I registered last night for the 360 as well. It got approved about 20 minutes later. I just got the notification that it shipped, and should be here by the end of the day Friday.

I registered for the SD card and wireless charger yesterday around 5PM. It got approved almost instantly and says it will be shipped the week of 9/25.

Same here. Second thing I did to get it out of the way, by the time I logged into email on the phone I got approved. Last year the same thing happened with the card and the vr headset, and it just showed up about a week later lol

Just checked, mine was approved. Said it ships week of 9/25/2017. That is fine, I'm in no hurry.

2) Now that the phone has been shipped to so many prepaid customers, is there any chance for the stores making them available earlier? Even to some customers?

On number 1.. If the date on the receipt does not fall within the promo dates. If they run out of the item you choose, receipt does not have your address clearly visible. Those are some reasons they will Deny it. If they Deny you, you have one time chance to resubmit the correct info.

I finally got my Note more or less set up. Still a lot of tweakings to do but the main stuff is functional. I had no luck so far setting up the iris scanner. But will give it another try. The fingerprint sensor took a long time to register two of my fingerprints and so far has recognized them when I used it 2 times out of five. But plan to keep experimenting. Love the phone, though.

I used the Samsung fast wireless charger last night. I bought it when I got the Note 7, then used it with my S7E and now the Note 8. No issues at all. The Note 8 also fast charges with my cheap wireless fast chargers too.

I went to the VZW store yesterday to see if there was a chance of earlier availability and the guy said they get the phone not the day before, but the morning of delivery. so no chance.

Anyone heard of this?

this is getting funny! on the VZW site today I was offered overnight shipping of the Note 8 if I ordered now.

and the agent wouldn't say store availability. she just wanted my online order. haha

Received my Note 8! I would like to share my experience trading in my S7E and receiving the Note 8. On Saturday, Sep 2 I went to my local Verizon store and spoke to Verizon employee, Ty. I have been dealing with Ty for 5 or 6 years and he is always knowledgeable and up to date on the latest information. I explained to Ty that being a former Note 7 owner (twice), I wanted to trade in my S7E and take advantage of the 50% off the Note 8 promotion. During this process, I paid off my S7E and pre-ordered the Note 8. Ty indicated the Note 8 would be delivered to my home. Ty also instructed me to bring my S7E back to him upon receipt of my Note 8 to complete the 50% off trade-in promotion. Today my Note 8 was delivered via UPS to my home and I drove to my local Verizon store to turn in my S7E. I walked in the door and asked for Ty. Ty took my S7E and provided me with a receipt that indicates I received the 50% discount on the Note 8 ($960 - $480). It was that simple. There were a couple of people on this board that said I couldn't turn in my S7E at a Verizon store and that I would receive an empty box in which to return my S7E...both of which were not true. Anyway, the entire process was flawless and I'm now a very proud Note 8 owner!

And that's why I try my best to stick with the same in store rep at Att. I had a person when I was with sprint also. Once you've formed a relationship, they go above and beyond to get the job done for u. Glad it worked out so well for u. It's sheer madness for some in the forum.
