I've ranted and raved just about everywhere I can find and I cannot believe I didn't make it to this thread! Since about 3 days into the 5.0 update I began having to change out my battery 3x a day, when before the Update if I used phone to text a TON that day, I might have to swap batteries if I were going out, or plug it in before bed. This is the absolute worst, but I guess you all know that. When I had my GS3, I bought an extra battery with a charger from Samsung, because I'd used the crap outta that phone, which I never wanted to let go of, but my hubby bought me the S5 for my Bday this past September. I didn't mind having to change it cuz I knew it was getting elderly and so I just did it. I also got myself an extra battery and charger with my S5, Just. In. Case. Truly not believing I'd ever need it, unless it was an emergency. UNTIL LOLLIPOP and THANK GOD I DID GET ONE.
I'm not a gamer, in fact I have it disabled, I don't text a ton, but I do listen to my music and take a ton of photos, but it was not dropping battery life before the upgrade, NOT 3X A DAY! I'm so angry that no one in the Android world has said anything about this, or Samsung, because I've noticed that not ALL phones are doing this since the update.
I've resorted to putting my phone on the regular Power Saving Mode all day and that helped a great deal. In fact a lot, but I cannot send or receive MMS messages which are mostly what I send in MMS, have to turn it off send, then back on.
It's daggone time somebody does something about the situation, just wait till AT&T & T-Mobile get theirs, here comes another round of complaints about batteries and much more!!!
P.S. I detest having to do a complete factory restore again and I'll be one of the lucky ones that it doesn't work on!
