I couldn't agree more... minor vendors are such a waste of our time, and are probably the reason this thing happened in the first place.

I also have 1x only as well. But ##778# and change the rev A to enable under modem and 3g came back.

I tried it and no luck still at 1x :'(

Make sure you press menu then commit changes after doing it. The phone will then reboot.

At about 1 p.m., Verizon said it had made progress in getting its 4G service back in action, saying in a tweet:

We have determined cause of 4G LTE issue & are working with major vendors to restore connections. Details as they come.

Wow major vendors! I feel much more comfortable knowing that they're not using minor vendors to fix this problem.

What I think is funny somewhat is that the 4g network goes down the day before a new 4g phone releases.
