Verizon did it to me again. They keep leaving out features that I really wanted. This time, with MM, they left out the option to merge your memory card into the onboard storage.

Actually, I'm kinda glad to see that. I was getting nervous about any reformatting necessary to merge -- if I didn't have an option to opt-out. If an external SD becomes hardwired to the device, it kinda loses the "feature" of being external. However, I can see the opposite use case too. I guess it should be a user choice. It makes more sense for brand new devices/cards I think.

Hold Power and Vol Down is still how you get there. Don't release either button until you actually see the Recovery menu with the wipe cache partition option.

I have had a hit or miss experience with it since the update, though. Although, I think it's better since I did the FDR yesterday.

I keep getting a IMEI barcode screen instead of the recovery screen.

That has happened to me a few times as well. It seems charging/battery *may* have something to do with it. Before I did the FDR the other day, I couldn't even get the barcode screen, but after swapping out a fresh battery, I got the Recovery menu right away. A similar thing happened after the FDR and charging. May be a coincidence, but...

I got that IMEI screen occassionaly even before MM.

I got in now. Do battery pull then the buttons.

I've weirdly lost my double-tap-to-wake functionality. Installed MM yesterday, all went well. Cleared cache in recovery today, a bunch of random settings ended up resetting themselves. Everything is back to normal, but I still can't get the double tap to work. Anyone else see this?

Nova launcher, but it happens with stock too.
Have a google apps device manager on my phone, but that's always been there and never affected anything.

**edit - Glance View is gone too.

I had the same problem - double tap to wake (KnockOn) no longer works. I dug everywhere to try and find the settings but couldn't ever find it. I followed these steps and got to the "hidden" page to re-enable it: http://www.phonearena.com/news/How-...the-LG-G4-LG-V10-other-LG-smartphones_id75888

My phone is very difficult to wake up once it's been down for a while since MM installed yesterday.
What can be done to fix that?

Don't know if it matters but nothing is checked under the Ignore Optimizations setting.

In the mornings since the update, my phone acts fine. As soon as the evening comes around, my phone vibrates and the screen goes out. My LED stays lit up but I can't get the screen on. Does anybody have any solutions?

Anyone else having issues reconnecting to WiFi? I have to reboot my phone to get it to reconnect to my home wifi. Tried turning wifi off and airplane mode... Even restarted my router.

I'm using Nova Launcher and the knock-on works. Obviously knock-off doesn't (unless already on the lock screen).

Try double-tapping on the Status Bar at the top of the display. I have used Nova and now have Action Launcher 3 loaded, and that knock-off works on both launchers.

Help Please!
I did the update two days ago, and the ony thing that I had noticed being off was the power button for screen unlock not registering sometimes. It wasn't until today when I tried to take a pic and capture a special moment on my phone that I found out that my camera doesn't work (it just says "failed to write"). My battery was running low, so I just plugged it in, and it started running a loop of the Verizon opening logo and the LG opening logo, and now the phone isn't charging, and won't turn on. I've tried removing the battery, and also leaving it plugged in, but neither seems to work. I would love to do a reset of the phone, but I can't even do that with it not turning on.

while I do realize that most people post stuff on the internet to complain...
but there seems to be a LOT of issues with the G4 after the MM update?
Or am I wrong?

It happens every time with practically every manufacturer... New update comes out and everyone wants it. Rolls out in a staggered manner from carriers so everyone complains they don't have it yet. people post that they got it, others post they didn't, then when more people get it they start complaining that the update sucks after the first day. Has happened to almost every smartphone I've owned... even crapple.

as far as the bootloop with the G4, that's a hardware issue that started before the update pushed out.

For me, MM seems to be OK on my G4, battery life was better yesterday and has been improving slowly as things begin to settle in.

After reading the details of the upcoming LG G5 (and Samsung Galaxy S7 line, for that matter).... I think its omission may not be a "Verizon" thing, rather an "LG" thing.

I would love to do a reset of the phone, but I can't even do that with it not turning on.

Stick it in the freezer for about 15 min then try turning it on. If it boots properly, leave it in the freezer while doing your backups and reset. This should keep it cold enough to prevent the heat expansion that opens the broken contact(s). Then set it up for a warranty claim.

This isn't much. When the G2 got Lollipop it was unbelievably bad. Totally destroyed my battery life. This one has just trimmed it some.

No real issues to report here. There's always going to be some issues for some people - and that's usually what you read online.

That works! Thanks.

I'm starting to see some issues. Once I swipe to unlock the phone, it's slow to clear the items from the lock screen to give me access to the phone. Also this morning my alarm app didn't go off at the correct time. It did go off but it was about 2 minutes past it's set time.
