Verizon raising the price for Unlimited Data Plan by $20 after November 15, 2015

My contract ends 11/09/2017 :) According to my calculations that's over $500 saved with taxes :)

Yeah, it still shows available upgrade since 2/2015 (on VZW and BB), if I order a $1 S6 online from BB would it reset the contract date as of today? or onactivation day (i really wouldn't want to activate it i think, i still have my Note4 i like for the sd card and battery)

I don't see anything that will stop you from ordering the $1 S6 online from BB. :)

After a few days, you don't see two more years of contract added to that line, call Verizon and demand it. :) I need to think about this some more... if that happens to me, I'll probably just keep silent and do another upgrade using the BB method after a few more weeks. :D (whichever makes more financial sense)

Well, I just lucked out and got on contract for a year. I wasn't able to get the 100 minute promotion-which is fine cause I'm well south of the amount on the account, but I was offered a International call plan added on for 5 a month for a year. I figured I'd rather pay 5 bucks a month for a year versus 20, but then when they were putting it in I was told it was actually going to be free, so, I'm on contract for a year now, and hopefully something happens between now and then with the 20 a month UDP hike. So, yeah, ask about the International Value plan for your line, adds calling to Mexico and Canada or the like.

When I got the news that Verizon was raising the price of its unlim data plans, the pop up on my Verizon said there will be a $20 increase in each unlim item...so does that include an extra $20 for the unlim mobile hotspot on top of the $20 for the unlim data? Thx-

Ok....will do tomorrow! I'm super nervous ....never tried this way before but will give it a shot tomorrow...

Im guessing that if I'm lucky while I'm on contract, I still have a upgrade from, oh 2 years ago now, and just hope that at some point soon, BB offers a Note 4 for a freaking reasonable cost, and just order it online, and naturally before turning it on, swapping out my current SIM card in my Note 2?

Well, I just called *611, and the rep wasn't able to get me the 100 loyalty texts or minutes promotion. But I was able to get the free international value plan, which also is a 1 year contract deal. I figure by that time my wife will finally want to graduate to a smartphone form her current basic line - at which time I'll likely have to switch to one of the new plans.

Thanks for the advice!

No prob. I tried to get my brother to do the same, but he's a ***** and doesnt care about spending 20 more a month. I just wish Best Buy would put the Note 4 on sale so I could do the trick for it, but going for 300 bucks at subsidy price is still pathetic.

To those of you who have received the 100 min/100 texts loyalty promo--did you have the Nationwide plan? I called to see about getting this and the Verizon rep told me it was for the More Everything plans. I don't think that is correct since they wouldn't have UDP's on them would they?
Just trying to get the contract extended to avoid the price increase.

Thanks

I'm on a the Nationwide (700) Plan and got the LOYALTY 100 TXT promo added to my UDP line which put me back on contract.

So before i call and give this a shot. Im out of contract on both of my UDP lines. If i call and extend my contract by 1 year will this definitely avoid the $20 increase per line? I just dont want to extend my contract on a chance this will work and then be stuck with verizon if it doesn't.
